I was living in Hong Kong at the time. Missed most of it because me a a few mates were walking the Maclehose trail (100km across mountains above Kowloon. We failed to do it in two days due to poor choice of footwear and beer stops) for the same cause. But the whole thing was on loop tapes in many bars for years.Bloody Hell, what a day that turned out to be.....started off by watching a few minutes and ended up only leaving the TV for a drink and a bite to eat, fabulous performances by all involved. Plus that well known ex- QPR fan Phil Collins did a set at Wembley then jumped on Concorde and did a set in Philadelphia on the USA version......magical day.
Sadly you ask the younger generation about Live Aid and they reply "What?"...........must be getting old.
