I like the way Mike Tyson can take the piss at his own expense these days. :)

I hope no one sanctions this it's just tragic. Nigel Benn is one of my all time favourite boxers and i really don't wanna see this it was bad enough seeing him stopped twice by Collins when he was in decline 20+ years ago I don't need to see them scrap now they're both in their 50s

Ridiculous. Boxing does not need this. Who else is still alive that we can fix up?

Joe Calzaghe rematch with Chris Eubank must be next

Nigel Benn was involved in some great fights. I was there when he had the re-match with Eubank at Old Trafford.

The last fight with Collins was bad enough. Seeing 2 men in their 50s slug it out is another farce to go along with the McGregor v Mayweather fight.

None of these fights should be sanctioned.

I find it a bit odd that Hughie is allowed to box on but Tyson is refused a license despite them being under investigation together for the same alleged drug offence. They should give Tyson his licence back whilst the investigation is ongoing if Hughie is allowed it makes no sense to me.

Strange one mate alright. I'm not totally clued up with the whole goings on with the investigations to be honest but it seems odd it's one rule for Hughie and one for Tyson. It's now becoming a bit of an age since we've seen this pair in a ring!

You know I don't like Tyson as a boxer but for the sake of heavyweight boxing he needs to come back. He ignited the division and even though in my opinion the WBC is the belt to have Fury is still the heavyweight champ of the world and the man people should be calling out. I'd like him to come back have a few fights to get back into it against some 'contenders' then fight the champions.

I saw a clip of Micheal Katsidis, one my favourite fighters, being interviewed in the lead up to the Pac - Horn bout, so went looking for a fight.

I'm losing hope he'll be back at all as time draws on. He's got himself in an awful physical state and whilst he's talking plenty about doing this or that I'd like to at least see some progress by way of him training, sparring or at least losing one of those bellies he's got <doh> I think truth be told when the cocaine stories broke on him my sympathy for him with the depression issues did become more diluted for want of a better way of putting it. He's a complex guy, I do like him, and I do think he's genuine and there's few heavyweights out there who are, but the time comes where he's got to decide whether he has the heart to get back to what he was two years ago and the jury's out on that for me after all this time away from the ring. Would be soooo pumped if he was announced for another fight this year though, I guess we can but hope.

I don't think we'll see him in the ring again. Not in the shape he was in when he became World champ anyway. I think he achieved his aim and the motivation has gone.

And the new WBO Welterweight Champion of the World ..... Jeff "The Hornet" Horn. <applause>

He came into today's fight a complete outsider. Next to nobody gave him a chance against Manny Pacquiao, but against it all, he prevailed. It must be admitted though, Manny looks as though the career of wars he's been through have begun to take their toll. He showed periods where his flashiness shone through, but in the end, he couldn't stand against the roughing up Horn gave him. I'm afraid Manny looked too old and too small.

I don't know whether I was biased or just wanted to see Horn get the nod, but even though I thought he'd had a nice win on points, I was scared the fight might be taken from him. When the result was announced, everyone in the neighbourhood would have heard me. <laugh>

I must be biased, the world though he lost. Stiff bikkies. <laugh>

Excellent result for Horn and let's not be too quick to suggest this was a washed up Pacqioua. He wasn't at his peak of course but he is far from washed up. He looked almost as good as ever in his last fight in taking the belt from a very good and much younger Jessie Vargas. He might have underestimated Horn but tough **** on his part, well done to the new champ and full credit to him. He has a baby on the way so let's hope now he gets the paydays that can set himself and his family up for life.

The fight was shown on free tv (non PPV anyway) in America so Horn should have a whole new audience now.

I did notice Smoke, that from some of the fight stills, Pac looked as though he had a bit of a gut. Maybe he didn't work as hard as he should have. Who knows?

Yeah he possibly didn't take his opponent too seriously. I haven't seen the fight yet I'll get round to it at some point. There'll probably be an immediate rematch.

Yeah could be, and as bad as it is if the fight was fixed, as an Aussie, I'm happy right now. :)

So you would condone cheating or match fixing as long as it was in your favour? Very un-Cyc like I would have thought.

Anyway, that was just my opinion, I wouldn't be as clued in as some others so maybe I am way off but I felt he didn't do enough to warrant a win.

Cyc, did your username here used to be Cyclonic111 or did you play poker under that username previously?
