This p4p stuff is a bit on the hard side. I don't think Mayweather can be counted at the moment, not even after the massacre he's about to hand McGregor, so I'll leave him out. And as good as Joshua looks, he hasn't been around long enough or done enough to justify the position.
It's hard to go past Andre Ward. After beating Kessler, Abraham, Froch and Kolalev twice, he looks the goods. If he steps to cruiserweight it's hard to see anyone with the possible exception of Usyk, even making much of a fight of it.
Forget the super middle guys.
Only two in the middle. Golovkin and Canelo. I like Golovkin, but who ever wins this bout has to be rated above the other. Canelo is alone at super welter.
For me, it's only Thurman and Spence at welter. I think these two and Crawford at Jr welter are alone down there.
The only others I can see who have a shout for me would be Lomachenko at super feather, Rigondeaux at super bantam and Gonzalez at Super fly.
I'd probably take Crawford over Thurman and Spence. I really like Gonzalez, but the stepping to the higher weights looks to be hurting the little bloke. Just his record alone must give Gonzalez the edge over Crawford for mine. But that will probably change in the next two years. The big question is, where do these two little guys stand against Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez? I think the games Canelo has played leaves him short of GGG, he needs to step up. This super fight between the will sort it all out, but until then ... GGG. So for me.
1. Ward.
2. Golovkin.
3. Gonzalez.
4. Crawford.
5. Rigondeaux.
6. Alvarez.
7. Lomachenko. (with a bullet). Maybe he should be 3. I told ya' it was hard .
