We had the 8th highest wage bill last season. That is as far as we can realistically go.
Did we?
I expect Man U, Man City, Everton, Spurs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham, Palace, Stoke & Leicester were higher.

Unless he is in no danger of going, so Les never gave him a thought. If we were adamant that Bertrand would stay - as we seem to be with VVD and Cedric - then Les would have included him in his quote.
I hope you won't be accusing the board of a lack of ambition!Opinions .......
Long as I see the board trying I am happy. We are never going to be a top 6 team.
Only will if I don't see them wanting to improve.I hope you won't be accusing the board of a lack of ambition!

It gets harder to improve the league position as lately there has only been 5-7 teams above us....a cup would be nice. What I want is to see the team try their hardest and provide lots of entertaining football with some wins against the top clubs. Improvement in league position may come from that...hopefully with a Europa place...but if not, we'll still have enjoyed the season.I only want us to improve on the previous year, every year. Yes it gets tougher as we reach places like 8th position but its possible and achievable. Its something a lot of us are asked to do in our jobs sometimes in worsening environments. That to me is a reasonable ask as a fan.
I absolutely agree with the entertaining football. It's very important, at least in my opinion. It gets harder to improve the league position as lately there has only been 5-7 teams above us....a cup would be nice. So he scores 18 premier league goals next season for us and City sign him back for £18m next summer - I'd say we'd lose on that![]()

I didn't watch get to any matches last season due to working out of the country until last month. He still can't cross, but he has improved defensively. Clyne was better for us, IMO.
.
Ok. Not sure what to say now. Not watched us much and criticise the players, including Redmond who at 22 (?) is apparently running out of time.
Ok. Right.

To be fair, you said exactly that. "He's running out of time and excuses". A bit harsh, I thought.Redmond has barely improved his all round game since he broke through at Birmingham, he's just now playing with better players. I didn't say he was running out of time. I'm just saying I don't rate him. He's 23, by the way.
I didn't get to watch us at the stadium, so didn't get the chance to see if Cedric had improved his defensive game fully as a lot of it is off camera. From what I saw, Clyne was better for us.

I get the impression you live a very empty life, what would you do if you couldn't come on this forum to be your condescending self?
