You say that, but revenue allows you to borrow more money at Lowe rate and most companies have a bit of debt to allow business to grow so although yes profit is important, football is different to most business as owners only really make money when selling the club rather than year to year profit.

he just needs 50 balls in.
Way, way off the mark. He's superb. We've watched both him and Alderweireld, and VVD is better (marginally, but he is).
Good way to describe him. He is a Rolls Royce of a defender. He doesn't look quick because he runs in a chilled out manner (like how he plays). I've only ever seen him lose one header, and we all marked it down in the Saints annuls at the time.
See I wouldn't go that far just yet.
For me Toby is the best in the league quite comfortably.
Reckon Virgil can overtake him though.

Admittedly under different circumstances but Rodgers could never have pulled off the level of players we're now managing to attract.

TBF you haven't attracted anybody yet and you are linked with good players every year.
Salah looks quite promising though if you meet the asking price.
