False, true, very true, questionable, true. Yet to really prove himself after just half a season of decent performances.
You're quite right. 5 decent months. I'm not going to argue with a Saints fan about one of their own but what I saw in the 2015/16 season was a player who had stepped up a level from the SPL and showed every sign of catching up with that new reality. 2016-17 as I said he has definitely improved but I've literally watched you a handful of times this year and on the occasion you played us and lost 4-1 I wasn't particularly impressed by him at all. If anything, you were better defensively in the 2-1 win when he was absent. But at 25 he is still young for a CB so plenty of time to improve
admittedly i've only seen him in these games & he has been playing behind a front 2 but yes ordinary is probably correct adjective. to be fair he can do most things but doesn't stand out at any from the little i've seen. Strikes me as a squad filler atm .

To those questioning whether us spending £50m on VVD and £35m on Salah means we can't spend elsewhere on a LB and CM need to have another look. Thats £85m. We'll recoup around half of that on player sales in Moreno, Sakho alone probably. Add in the negative net spend last summer and should have decent kitty lying around. Throw in potential CL money and above all that, we are just outside top 10 clubs in the world in terms of revenue! We havent gone big in transfers for god knows how long. We've only gone over 30m for anplayer twice! Compare that to everyone were challenging against, even Spurs can match that with Lamela and Sissoko!
revenue is irrelevant only thing that matters is the bottom line & our last 3 sets of accounts show approx £20m profit before tax so hardly built up a warchest.
Janssen is young and needs another season. Soldado was just a very lovable tragedy. Like watching your best friend drive off a cliff in your worst enemy's brand new car.
You think he's no pace... behave. Seen him v mane and firmino..absolutely destroyed them both. Compared to Lovren he's a rolls Royce.
Writing off the old stadium plans, building a new stand, replacing the manager, and we still made a profit Minted
