    No, but that was an equally pathetic dig as he served his punishment for those incidents.

    I'm talking about stuff like this shirt pulling which wouldnt even raise an eyebrow if Wayne Rooney did it, or him tweeting something off the cuff and irrelevant and the press making a headline out of it and slating him.

    Barton admitted he was wrong and was rightly booked and not seen anyone defending him. Gervinho raised his hands and deserved to go regardless of Bartons theatrical fall. Not seen anyone disputing any of that. Song also deserved to go for his stamp ON BARTON. Your point is??????????
    Worse than this goes on in europe and has done against us but then 5under1and wont know this never having been there. Ha Ha.

    Bartons a thug thats why he gets grief when he does something like this!

    If anyone else did it people would think thats out of character and must of just seen the red mist, a moment of madness that we can all have!

    The problem is that your beloved Joey `the thug` Barton does this kind of **** all the time and rightly so should get grief for it so stop defending him!

    Totally agree - Barton was out of order and was completely idiotic to get involved. Even he admitted that. He had the ball as well for ****s sake, should have played on to start an attack.

    I'm so tired of people constantly defending everything he does.

    He came across very well of 5 Live, though, and I applaud him for the way he's conducted himself since the incident.
