I think a lot of us on here is looking forward to the day when Poch & Spurs win the title of a European title, so that we can finally put to bed all the pointless and repetitive talk of "Yeah, well, what have Spurs won, huh?" and we can all concentrate on discussing just how good this Spurs team really is.

I think more of us would rather see you struggle like **** at Wembley next season, miss out on the top 4, Poch then ****s off next summer and your team breaks up as a result. <ok>

I understand your fear, Tobias.

It is shared by many others.

That is a matter of opinion.

I am glad that you have seen fit to express yours.

It's a matter of fact.

If you're not out to win trophies, what exactly is your purpose?

United have won 3 pots this season. 1 is debatable of course but the other is a domestic cup and the other is a European one.

At the end of the season they have Champions League football and 3 trophies in the cabinet. What do Spurs have to show for it? Apart from the "Finished above the worst Arsenal side of the Premier League era" trophy.

The media is, of course, going into hyper-drive over the Manc win.

They are asking the question: "What next for Mourhino and United?"

I'd like to have a crack at answering that.

First off, for Mourhino, well done for avoiding getting sacked! You've managed to bungle your way through to at least another Season at OT.

Secondly, for United, I think it's about time you finally managed to get to the CL on merit, and finish in the top 4 again. If you found it difficult to do it this season, next season is going to be an absolute killer, with the distraction of CL footy! Sure, you are probably going to end up trying to defend your Europa League title (after dropping down into that competition from the CL), but I am deeply concerned that The Lucky One is going to, yet again, sacrifice your domestic form.

I'm not sure what you lads think about that?

Is that all the lads or United fans still excluded from offering our opinion?

I'll give it anyway.

Yes, well done on avoiding the sack. What next is pretty obvious, he will strengthen the squad, get rid of some players he doesn't fancy, and go all out to win the league next year.

That's what.

<ok>

it was definitely embarassing. Out of the CL by the 5th game. Lost to Belgium minnows in the EL. There is no other way to describe it.

Only if you're a spurs fan :p. I think everyone knows how good the spurs team is, it's pretty special. Still not special enough to win any cups though. Maybe this golden period will bear some fruit next year

Spurs were the reason United had no chance of winning the europa league.

You've peaked mate, get used to it. The Holy Grail has been within touching distance and that's as close as you're going to get.

Like getting a lap dance and having a clout waved about an inch from your face, you can even smell it, but you never get to touch it <laugh>

In English please Saints.

Absolutely.

I've paid my compliments, along with everyone else.

I was merely making the point to some cocky Fox, that despite Spurs not winning anything this season (which everyone already knows, so it is completely pointless pointing it out), we will be completing in the CL, and LCFC won't.

"Embarrassment" is clearly too strong a word.

My way of putting it is that we went out of both competitions with a whimper.
You've paid no (sincere) compliments. Anyway I didn't bring Leicester up, you did. I purely stated I'd fancy Man U to go further than some English sides and you not only took that to mean I meant Spurs but brought Leicester into it.
Rattled?

You can build a great team and still not win anything. The best teams get the job done.

Last season, Chelsea finished 11th, didn't they?

10th actually. And the 2 seasons either side of that we've won 2 league titles, the league cup, in the fa cup final in 2 days time and reached the C.L semi final.

Spurs have won nowt in that time.

No one remembers the plucky runners up - which is why Spurs have small club mentality. Finishing above Arsenal once is all you have to show for your best 2 years ever in the P.L. <laugh>

This thread has not gone as planned has it?

We must, of course, always bear in mind that the Europa League is the competition that clubs drop down too (sic) because they are not good enough to compete in the CL

You didn't really think this through before you wrote it did you ? <laugh>

I'm all for a mourinho piss taking thread, but only you could write one that ends up with you being the object of the piss taking.

Extremely poor wum effort. You're just not up to it I'm afraid.

I love that analogy, mate! <laugh>

Everton, of course, would be the specky mate sat a couple of rows back, ****ing himself raw!
