He been decent for you guys? Thought he'd been in and out of team quite a bit and doesn't seem to have scored much.
He's a bit hit and miss, he goes AWOL sometimes, but he when he's good, he's very good. He's played most of the league games he's been available for.
A couple of points - a paper can print a story whenever the **** it likes. If there really is something from Liverpool with Robbo, he'd have known all about it well before the papers gotnwind of anything. Do you reckon he got into the dressing room and checked twitter to find out? There was another thing being discussed which I've forgotten about. Robertson, quality player. Has everything but can be very inconsistent with his delivery. One footed is a stupid point and his defensive frailties are exaggerated well beyond reason, he's very good defensively but as a short arse full back he's always going to get beaten by a big beast at the back post. I think playing in a side like Liverpools would see him flourish and take further steps of improvement, he's done just about all he can for us. It might take him awhile to get into the swing of things but I'm sure he won't be a disappointment. Assuming it's true and actually happens of course.
10 million for Robertson you have to sell. The biggest objective is to sign Tymon up in that position. Maguire should be 15 million and Clucas 7-10 mill. Unfortunately thats the position we are in. Its the number of players we have left is the biggest worry, as Ehab won't decide till August 5th who is going to be manager, at least there isn't an assistant he can put in charge.
Robertson is one of those players that will look much better in a better team. He's also got a good engine which is a massive requirement for an attacking fullback these days.
He's good and has got stacks of potential. He's one of those players that will in my opinion look much better in a team surrounded by better players. Ignore some of the other posts. I think one of his main problems this season has been he's had to cover too many other players deficiencies. I don't see any reason why he wouldn't prosper at a club like Liverpool. He's got a fantastic engine on him and he likes to get forward. He could score goals when given the opportunity, in our squad this season that's been few and far between as he'll get into great positions only for a team mate to spoon the pass. I'm guessing supply at Liverpool will be a huge improvement as it couldn't be any worse than the supply he's had here. I think he'd do well and he comes across as a likeable level headed lad.
We will see. Doesn't stop him from been out of position constantly, been unable to pass a ball 10 yards and unable to stop a cross. I have always thought he would make a better winger. and that if fit Moses would have be well ahead of him as one of our better players. Its not to be.
Moses plays on the right. Robertson on the left. Different positions. Robertson at this point in time is miles ahead of Moses. Moses hasn't even played in the PL yet.
I thought Moses was our best and most exciting player before his injury, very similar style to Kyle Walker. Hopefully the injury doesn't cause him too many problems and he can get fully fit.
I totally agree but at the end of last season I valued Moses more than Robertson. He obviously does have a lot of positive attributes of which are all attacking. His defensive abilities are average at best and certainly not up to it for a top 10 Premier League team.
We'll agree to disagree. Robertson will go on to be a top player - we'll see if that is Liverpool. No doubt about it.
I thought Moses was better than Robbo pre-injury. He's stronger defensively and has better ball control.
Moses hasnt played for a year.. who knows what sort of impact that will have had Don't liverpool play milner at lb? Robbo can be better there than him
His drop of the shoulder and run to skin the Arsenal full back at the Emirates, before playing a great ball into the box, was one of the individual highlights of the season.
All of Robertson's best attributes are attacking. I'd have stuck him at left midfield in front of Tymon and wouldn't have signed Kamil.
He was the only player in the squad where you'd feel confident of him beating his man 1 on 1, the rest of them lacked the quality and/or confidence.
