Of course everyone knows it goes on. It's poor form for it to be printed in a paper ahead of a really important match.
Yeah exactly. I'm not naive to assume it doesn't happen - of course it does. But to have it splashed across the papers in the hours before a huge game is ridiculous.
We all know it happens and the papers couldn't give a **** what they print or when as long as it sells papers.
What a stupid comment. All clubs are selling clubs. Players have the power. If they're in demand and play for a small club they will go.
If Liverpool saw Robertson today they'll be hoping there's a 14 day cooling off period. In fact I'm amazed they see him as a Liverpool player, sorry scousers but if Robertson is seen as a player to make you stronger don't expect a pl trophy anytime soon
Just reading Steve Bruce has been handed a £1 million transfer kitty under the Fair Play Rules..Has to sell before he can buy...
Seen big links with Robertson to us. Not seen a huge huge amount of him, seems quick and likes to get forward and offer width which is what we're missing. You guys reckon hes any good to step up and be first team for team challenging for Europe? Is he any good defensively?
He's a good young player that is very good going forward, willing to take risks and create something. His final ball can be spot on and sometimes just a little off but will only improve. He's not perfect defensively. He can often be found out of position and scrambling to get back. He'll provide good cover in the meantime and would be first choice if he could develop his defensive game learning from Milner.
If your signing players like robertson to improve your first team then your further away from winning the title than i thought, No way is he a top 6 club player.
As much as he has been excellent for us and as much as I like him, he has been culpable for many a far post goal. He has one foot and the other one is for standing on. As Geo said, if you want a squad player then so be it. Moreno is better.
Much better going forward than he is defensively. Burnsy asked him about the link with Liverpool immediately after the game yesterday, he replied 'not today pal'.
even yesterday going forward he looked poor, he ran into the first man or lost control as he attempted to go round him. His final ball is hit and miss, more often miss imo
No one is that bad FFS Hoping he's coming in as back up and we are targeting another first choice LB. Sounds like he has potential but isn't quite at level to be first choice all season. Good luck next year. Any chance you guys spending £15m-£20m on Markovic?
You won't find anyone on here who wouldn't like us to keep Markovic, but no, we won't be spending £15m on anyone.
If we've got money to spend, I'd like to see us do what Newcastle did. Young players from big clubs like we did with Chester, Evans etc. Depends who the manager is mind.
