I know you secretly rate him, and you know I still love him, but jeeze, if you were a young up and coming player, this is the team you'd want to play in.

I presume you mean the lying Poch? Yes I rate him.

Seems a nice bloke too but that isn't going in big print!

Obviously never took to Victor quite in the way of some players. Loved his voice during interviews, but if I really take to players then their leaving produces something akin to a punch to the stomach. I suppose most supporters would call that being 'gutted', but since that term is often used for mild disappointment these days I'll say 'punch to the stomach'. Anyway, I was mildly disappointed when VW left, possibly because he made no secret of the fact that he wanted to leave from way back. That gave me at least a season to go off him.

Oh well, I thought it was a progression from FLT's 'Vic Scores' message.

Not Pinocchio.? Really.? I mean I could almost dislike the guy, and I dislike barely anyone.

Absolutely. Just watch this team. If you were an up and coming young player, you'd really, really want to play in this team (if what you cared about was football over money). Plus, as Fats says, he seems a really nice bloke too. You'd follow him (well, I would) far more than a Jose.

As I've said before, for me he's alongside Conte the best coach in the league, if not worldwide.

Just out of interest, why do you dislike him?

When it comes to football I don't care about Worldwide. I care about SFC. Everybody else is there for us to employ, sell, buy or to play. :)

Quite enjoying seeing all the old players in this goodbye to White Hart Lane ceremony. They can piss off with "when the Spurs go marching in" though.

Oh god - I'll have to watch it at some point and tease him about it. I know he's been after more tv work recently.

Interesting trivia: After today's last game at White Hart Lane, Spurs will actually be moving closer to it. Check this picture of the new stadium:
    upload_2017-5-15_0-10-19.png

Until the final whistle of the match against ManU, Spurs played in their stadium approximately where those high rise buildings are on the right [I tried drawing it but it looked terrible, so you'll have to imagine], and in the right hand section of the new ground, in High Road, Tottenham. Curiously, after 118 years of playing there they shift about a pitch length or less nearer to the actual White Hart Lane [indicated by arrow and graffiti]. Perhaps people can shed light on why Spurs old ground is called White Hart Lane when clearly there are several streets that are nearer.? For example, High Rd, Paxton Rd, Worcester Avenue or Park Lane. All of which surround the old stadium. There are even nearer streets on the other side of High Road. Odd.

The land was owned by the landlord of the White Hart public house and rented out to the football team.

For a while at the very beginning it was known as 'The High Road Ground' because of Tottenham High Road, but with the land going over to the club from the White Hart pub (and the close proximity of the 'Lane') that supporters came up to High Road on, it became White Hart Lane.
