I understand the principle of why they cost a seat. But it's a paper exercise to say they lose us money when we play to empty seats every week. The only reason this is fair is if it is part of a complete ban on free tickets. If the lads do a job to earn it it would be hard to suggest they are equal to freebies for club hangers on. Seems harsh in the extreme whatever you use to justify it.
It wasn't even academy players in the real sense. It was full time professional footballers who had to pay to watch their own team when not in the squad.
I find it increasingly incredible that anyone still tries to defend or justify the actions of our owners.
I think from the twitter feeds I saw, they turned up for work as usual and where then escorted from the pitch. They then discussed what happened in the pub whilst the game was on. I can't say for certain that's what happened.
This is in anticipation of the membership scheme creating such a demand for tickets that these 6 will be needed to help alleviate the overwhelming, desperate clamour for a ticket.
Say the 6 freebie tickets cost £30 each. No let's say the 6 groundsmen actually have Willy Wonka Golden Seats, drink on tap throughout the game, ladies that might offer free pleasures and so on, say 'those' tickets cost £1k each. The cost of the tickets is so miniscule when compared to the money swilling about, including parachute payments, that it just shows how vile and nasty creatures the Allams are. How can anyone defend them? Really?
Maybe in "Ehabworld" he thinks sacking them these grounds men who's payment was a free ticket, he expect that they will still come to watch and buy one, thereby increasing his revenue.
I think they're just plain and deliberate contradictory though ain't they. If everybody else was in favour of the Allams they'd take the other side.
Exactly. No one posters are asking questions or wanting more info. No. Unless you ask questions you don't find out. I mean a lot of the sheep took it as gospel about the website that you posted. Turns out.. did anyone see this? So the people doing the divots at half time weren't the usual ones? But stewards doing it?
Sorry Chazz, the twitter account is now protected, so the tweets are now unavailable. The account was public last night and from memory it said they were in the pub whilst the match was on after being escorted off the pitch and had been replaced by stewards. My memory may be failing me but that's what I remember. I didn't see anything and only found out when I got on the internet last night.
Thanks obi. Has there been any investigation form fatty burns or him about the two groundsmen or this episode. If not why not. It's my problem with twitter people, post anything and it's accepted without any verifications
I expect the club will be issuing a ringing condemnation of these vile calumnies against their munificent owners.
