In fact, Lovren isn't average. He's actually a level below. A truly atrocious defender, and I don't even want to call him a defender because it would devalue the word and position.

Lol to be fair, he is very good in the air. That's his one trait. All other aspects of defending are missing.
He is one of the worst players we have signed.
Ah well - fans would prefer someone like Lovren who is highly professional than someone like Sakho who has attitude problems.

The whole team was **** against Palace. And a season isn't defined by one game.
Lovren makes mistakes but hes not as as bad as you make out.
I can see why you've given him a massive pay rise after the superb season he's just had 
this contract is to merely protect his value and nothing more but it's infuriated me

My info is he's got a pay rise to 100k from 65k...
the issue is that the magic 100k is somehow called premium wages but the REALITY it utd shovelled that as jessie lingard recently and the tv money means thats going to be a top 6 average wage more or less.
thats the sad reality

If we are referring to player wages i do not believe that our wage bill is higher than Arsenals. To be sure you need to drill down in the accounts to check it is like for like.
According to latest accounts - Arsenal Spurs and city are paying less in wages. (I think the city figures are dodgy but it's true according to their statements).
