    You're definitely barmy, so,I don't doubt you.

Seriously, like I say, I run purely as one of the cardio parts of my general fitness routine. I've no desire to do any long distance running.

So after dieting for 6 weeks, and losing half a stone,

you "went back to how I used to be"

you claim that you then went on to lose a total of 4 stone !

You are full of **** !

Yes plenty, but I can't post it as the eBay seller hasn't delivered it yet and I need to go to Siberia to price up a gulag refit.

  12. You clearly know **** all about it, G4E, so I am not going to rise to your ****.

I went on the diet to kick-start my metabolism. It worked.

I was never into junk food anyway. My biggest problem was booze. The diet wasn't really a diet as most people would view a diet - it was part of an overall change of lifestyle. All I did, in effect, was to train myself to eat and drink properly. After the 6 weeks, I took the brakes off certain restrictions, such as having the odd curry or dessert.

Once I got into the habit of regular exercise, it pretty much took over my life for a couple of years. I only stopped running longer distances when I popped my hamstring for the second time, and developed something called fasciitis of the foot.

I have to say, that I did love running long distances. I solved many a problem whilst out on a run.

Some of my finest runs have been out of fear of being caught . Nothing like a sense of accomplishment when people run past you while your under a truck .

  15. Fair enough.

I'm not rattled, but I did get very serious about my training. If I told you what I used to do, I'd have all the usual suspects calling "bullshit" again, so I will save my breath. Let's just say that I did a LOT of sport and fitness activities.

The Moscow thing, by the way, isn't real. It was only banter. I think most people realised that.
