I've only ever supped gin twice in my life and it didn't end well either time.
Shudder to think.
PS Doesn't all gin taste the same?
Surely it does.

Do all single malts taste the same, Carmine?
Do all craft ales?
Do all kebabs?
Yes, yes and yes.
In fact that's clearly an untruth.
A bab from a bin tastes slightly rank but apart from that I think I'm bang on.
Is craft ale the same as home brew?
Small batch production. Lovingly manufactured. Tastes like nectar of the gods.
So, yes, yes and no.
My old man lovingly manufactured small batches of ale.
Not so much nectar of the gods, more like bum gravy of a tramp.
If you fancied a pint on luke warm sediment then my old boy was your man.
I hope he's somewhere laughing at that comment because he'd admit that never a truer word was written.
Mad old bugger.

No, it doesn't. But if you are going to make long drinks out of it I use Beefeater as it is cheapish and tastes OK in a g and t. Gordon's is the only one I don't like as it smells like eau de Cologne to me.
Gin is supposed to make you morose but it is whisky which has that effect on me. Gin makes me feel at peace with the world. After sufficient quantities of course.
Turns me from a chilled out entertainer to a violent beserker.
Lesson learned, or is it learnt??
Lernt?
Laernt?

I find whisky is the one that brings out the worst in people. Followed by vodka.

We'll the Vikings sailed down the Humber, took York, then fought and lost the Battle of Stamford Bridge to King Harold's army in October 1066.Yes. Though berserkers were Vikings and nothing to do with 1066.
Enjoyed all the seasons of Vikings. Though it is not the same since the demise of Ragnar, who had the look of someone who who would have made a good leader of a football "firm".

Just a few days before the Battle of Hastings .
Yes it was a great series.Apologies. I was just thinking of the Battle Of Hastings. Silly me. Amazing the number of boats that arrived but how few were required to take the survivors back.
