No-one should be surprised about that. The process was practically designed to encourage this. Should have had a raffle with each person willing to buy putting a tenner in, if any were left they should then be distributed around local schools/charities to raffle off for their own funds. Wonder how much they made from the sale?

Whet your appetite by having a sneak peek at some of the fine food you can tuck into at the launch of Hull Street Food Nights.
Taking place at the newly-refurbished Trinity Square the evening food and drink market will be held one Thursday a month throughout the summer with the first set to kick off today.

Organisers are promising there will be a host of great vendors at Hull Street Food Nights with the festivities set to have a Mediterranean feel.

There will be live entertainment which includes DJs and live music, dancers and fire eaters. While, of course, there will be bars offering many drinks for visitors to try.
The food
Here are the stalls you'll have to choose from at the very first food market which begins at 4pm and runs until 9pm.
Shoot The Bull
Renowned for its steak and pork belly, as well as their macaroni and cheese. You will not be disappointed with their offering.

Expect a great atmosphere at the stall which combines Afro-Caribbean food and wonderful cocktails.
Fountells
The Beverley based eatery serves up carvery sandwiches, chunky pies and baked potatoes. Their giant filled Yorkshire puddings are famous all around.

Why can't there be street food available all year? And for longer than 4 to 9pm.
 
(Completely true story), I ate a croissant off the floor in Tesco's when the thin bag split on Saturday morning. Does Tesco floor class as street food?
