She's a civil engineer who has big ideas about putting the city on the world map in terms of infrastructure dream projects from the little I've read about her. If the Echo comes across stuff like this [and the climate change/impact on new stadium article from the other week] it's going to run with them to fill copy space.

btw if you're submitting your lego design for the new stadium, you forgot the track <whistle>

haha, that piece was written by an avid kopite btw mate, and I loved the way it focused on the stadium as opposed to the entire Waterfront and erm half the town.

I think it's called playing to your audience personally.

An 'avid' kopite eh, the wonders of twitter <laugh>

The point is the Echo picked that article up from another obscure website, it wasn't as if the author sent it to them. The article if I remember correctly also discussed the findings from JMU that the whole city would practically be under water in 200 years time. As it happens the stadium project has to have a climate change assessment anyway. Water levels rising are already a problem for Peel down on the front.

The Echo is a rag tbh. The comments on that 108k stadium piece are quite funny in parts though.

You can't beat the acerbic quality of scouse humour, especially when it's delivered in 1 liners.

Who the **** decided this was actually news like? As it's made the Echo as well.

It's the brain fart of some wacko kopite with an etch a sketch ffs.

It's not even got a ****ing roof <laugh>

We'd blow the ****er off anyway [HASHTAG]#savethemoney[/HASHTAG]

She's a dreamer who likes to see her name in print imo. This is nothing more than self promotion.

You don't sell out the current stadium, hence the reason the Shermans have shelved the Anfield road development.

Doubling the 54k to 108k is barking mad.
Stupid anyway - there is a far simpler way
You put two people to a seat
Cheap seats mean u are the one underneath
(Still get as good a view as some seats we charge for now)
Unless the person sitting on your lap is a gorgeous 25yr old - in which case the seat price doubles
Plenty on wiggle room for extras too :)
54k - 108k easy

I don't think the woman concerned has got any football affiliation she just thinks the city of Liverpool could be the home of the 2nd biggest stadium in the world and has produced the CAD's to back that up. Don't knock dreamers <ok>

If we had a metal roof we could get @ 100k hanging from the roof wearing magnet boots (or just get Antipodeans in). Simples.

Edit - if we had a glass roof, they could lay down flat and watch the football underneath, a bit like playing subbutteo on the carpet. ****, I'm good at this. :emoticon-0126-nerd:
