I forgot about the housing sell-off. Totally buggered us all up, and it's probably irrecoverable. All it did was give councils loads of cash to spend (saving the government giving it to them & fuelling 'rates never been lower than with the tories' headlines. If I remember correctly, the government got a large slice of the sale price too. Generations of youth have suffered since. No-one can afford to rent or buy. In Wetherby, everyone's children have to leave the town to get accommodation, rented or bought. The 'affordable' housing we have starts at approx £250k!!

No, she didn't HAVE to at all. It was all about her career, not the people of the Falklands. Until the invasion, the Falklanders were 2nd class citizens who had no right of access to the UK.
