My wife is disabled. She has MS & struggles to walk with her stick & has speech problems. At her assessment (made more vigorous by the tories), she was asked to stand for 30 seconds, and from this they rejected her claim, saying she has no problems with her speech & could walk 200m unaided, as she proved daily in her job as a teacher! She retired 3 years prior to the assessment. Made a strong enough story to reject her case, though. Complete pack of lies. Like anything the tories touch.

Good luck with your offshore dependants. 2 eons perhaps.

Not clutching at straws. Took the trouble to re-read the thread, & even gave you post numbers where you said the thin you deny saying. Short of coming down to yours & shoving your face in the screen to read it, I don't know what else I can do. Guess the tories have taught you to read too - i.e. you miss out the bits that incriminate you.

Anyhoos, I'm off to bed. Nice of you to tell me a fairytale before I go to sleep. Been over 50 years since someone's done that for me. Thanks, grandad. :D

Put channel 4 on and watch any of the "....on benefits" programs. It will make your blood boil. They are all fat and well fed, they all have mobile phones, many are sitting playing console games they don't go to work yet their homes are filthy **** holes, pure lazy, that is what is wrong with most of them.

Agreed there are thousands deserving but whilst we have many more thousands milking and cheating the system it will be impossible to cure.

My Brother in law has mental health problems, every time they asses him they fail him,he appeals and wins every time. Not a good system but seems to be the way it works.
Labour did bring the tests in 2008,so Jock voted for them in effect.

Those houses have ten votes in them and they're easily got. Just keep the benefits rolling in to them

    I'm not a leftie

You're the one who has never voted Tory before, I have, many times - going back to the evil Thatch

I'm just someone who thinks its important to be in the single market. That was Thatchers view too, by the way.

Didn't say I was a Tory, I'm a pragmatist. - aka able to make my own decisions without reference to a political party telling me what to think

Thatcher was 100% right about the single market - Lancaster House speech 1988 look it up (actually don't, it has some big words in it)
