The champions, PL top 4 and all 7 FL promotion slots have been sorted for a while now. There's a couple of minor play-off/relegation spots still to be decided. Is this the most boring season ever?

It could be worse, look at Scotland.

6 top teams fighting for the top 4 with the odd surprise in some seasons is better than you would get in any other European league.

As for saints, no european football but a more experienced peul and providing we can add and keep the obvious, next season could be very exciting for us.

.... just. Three would have been good.

Did I hear Prem teams now need to have 7 English developed players in match day squad?

Edit - no, it's EFL clubs as per last line in the article.

I'm not sure if that is in matchday squad or in the named 25 man squad for the league, like in the PL you need to have a certain amount of players who are "homegrown" (players like Fabregas and Pogba count for example)

But it can still be a foreign player if he was registered before he was 19, can't it? Or am I reading it wrongly.

Had an interesting chat with Lawrie Mac (name dropping <whistle>) about development of English players on
Monday. As you can imagine, he has opinions and I agreed with him. BTW - he met JWP a month or so ago in the pub we had lunch in (The Rockingham Arms) and that was the first time he'd talked with him :headbang:
