Poor Rickie....not even getting much game time at Cardiff. Perhaps a hard decision has to be made....retirement I mean, not shooting him behind the barn.

On your second line I've been calling for that a rule like that in the PL for years now, will never happen though as it's not in the interests of the PL at all.

Last week on Serbian TV they showed the Brian Clough film with Colm Meaney playing Don Revie. ******* Leeds were a dirty team!

 

Leeds or Sheffield Wednesday for me.

Both huge clubs with great support and been out of the PL quite a while. I'd fancy both as an away trip next year too.

Wouldn't be too against Hudders either, they remind me of the old 606 days

No to Fulham and Reading.

 

And Gabby look-a-like Michael Sheen captures Cloughie excellently.

On the promotion front it's almost a case of Anybody But Leeds. Or there's my southern bias, so I'd go for Reading or Fulham. But both of those have been in the PL recently, and Sheff Wed have been in the Prem before. So I'm backing the comatose giant, Huddersfield Town. Never had a go at the Premier League** before, and about time they did.

If I had to pick one, reckon it would be Wednesday, would love to see him back in the PL... though in an ideal world I'd like Newcastle to fail and both Leeds and Weds to come up... not gonna happen though.

 

Fulham for me, watched them a few times on TV this year and impressed me. Could think of little worse than Leeds back in the PL.

There are few things in football at this point in time which are quite as enjoyable as Wenger's demise at Arsenal. It is surely the football equivalent of death by a 1000 cuts. I would love to see him end his career in ignomy as, although I can respect what he had achieved, there has always been an air of arrogance about him that meant he was unpopular with non-Arsenal supporting fans. I have found his post-match comments to frequently be condescending about the opposition as well as his habit of too frequently blaming referees. It would be nice if the re-arranged Saints game is scheduled whilst Arsenal are "enjoying" this run of form!!
