Don't think it was Klopp mate he just kept dropping in behind the play to the point of him being a CB instead of going and attacking the ball, it's a thin line at DM knowing when to hold the middle or cover and when to go hunt the ball, Can isn't great at it. He's not a DM though imo to slow over the first few yards when hunting the ball. This is the big problem with him, he's not a DM, he's not box to box. I think he would work well in our old system with 2 deep players so that he has someone to work with but we just don't play like that anymore. I look at all our midfielders and if I'm harsh I'm buying someone who can play DM and dropping Can and Hendo, both are not going to sit on the bench and If I had to pick one it's Hendo despite Can having "potential" as it may never change into actual talent.
the germans think he's a RB... so there you go. I dunno but I think he's obviously got some talent but as first line?
no i suppose not but thats where they seem to play him i dunno why but he was thought of as a cb/rb at bayrn and leverkusen pushed him to DCM. rogers then stuck him at RCB i na 3. maybe klopp should go 343 and stick the lad RCB again with matip central? If of course you consider rogers a genius....
he did but i dunno if its chaos under rogers or what. he was a serious weak link there that was targeted.
http://www.thisisanfield.com/2017/03/liverpool-advanced-discussions-french-full-back/ another cheap kid snatch by the club. Jordy Gaspar I wonder do we use a panel van and the lure of sweets or what to grab these kids off the street sometimes.
Liverpool Transfer News: Julian Brandt in Talks with Bayern Munich, Top Rumours Bayern Munich have reportedly been in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen starlet and reported Liverpool target Julian Brandt. That's according to Bild (h/t the Liverpool Echo's Joe Rimmer), who suggested the winger could leave the BayArena for just €12.5 million (£11 million) due to a clause in his contract. Bayern have reportedly stepped in with a view to signing the 20-year-old in the summer of 2018. The report says that despite the interest from other parties "the goal of the Bayer executives nevertheless remains to extend Brandt's contract." As noted by the Liverpool Echo, the Germany international is said to be a "top target" for Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp this summer.
In that regard, I understand the interest but you were talking about existing players and contact renewals
Our fist choice midfield is Hendo, Wiji and Lallana. If those 3 are fit Can sits on the bench, where he belongs tbh.
Not like Chelsea to sell a good player and then bring him back for two/three times as much as sold him for
That correlates with recent bad form iirc? I'm almost certain that the start of the season was the 3 I mentioned, during that period we tore teams apart.
Jimmy ignores wijnaldum picked up a knock and also he played all over Christmas and was about the only knew to do it. But that doesn't fit the can must be first choice theory so we dhould ignore it
