I've been to four games this season Liverpool, Chesterfild, Blackpool and Macclesfield. I've listened to some complete ars e holes sat around us. The best of it is I've sat in the west stand upper (Liverpool) usual seats against Blackpool (E4 only place fans realistic so far) Away Chesterfield proper thick chavs sat behind us and then at Macclesfield sat in E1, ****ing brain diners sat a few rows back so we moved to South stand and some clown whose last game was wembly when Deano beat Burnley ???? I ask you. These big mouths don't know **** all yet there very vocal presence actuall affects those around them. They arnt proper fans just big gobs who need to shut it or **** off. End of rant, at least back in the 80's everyone was realistic and got behind the players, I can't remember scapegoating players although we had a few who would have been publicly lynched by today's standards.

Sad thing is When I saw 4000 at Tuesdays game I thought at least these will be die Hards, nope there were bandwagon fans and those out for a cheap ticket!

End of rant!

My dad used to say, if you can't say something nice about someone then say nothing! This ought to be our mantra this season.

Not everything back in the good old days was great i remember stood in the north stand (before it became the supermarket stand)with my dad and his mates listening to them slateing the players it didnt change when they moved to bunkers.I remember the hate for some of the **** fish and dolan brought in.All by die-hards supporters. Its been going on for years and not just our club

Why cant we give our opinions on players . We pay , we have opinions , we let them be known. Just that some people get their comments wrong, like saying after two games, this and that. when they cant read.

Yes we should give opinions on players etc (that's what the Forum is all about). However......the language used behind the asterisks in some posts is just absurd. By all means give a rating out of 10 (say) for performance, effort or attitude that day, but insulting our players is no help at all.

Michael Turner was in tears after one game @ the KC. He really struggled in the early days after City sold Leon Cort to Palace and Turns was very close to quitting (from the man himself) but he showed those normal neg heads in the end. Who is laughing now ? The boo boys are worse than Bullard. imo.

So Turner talked to you personally then about this?? Where did this imaginary conversation take place?

On what evidence are you basing his "couldnt give a damn about the club" on? He brought a bird back to the room on a club trip? FFS. He does go to the pub? FFS what English players dont. Do you expect choirboys or something. Im not denying he may be a handful to manage (I cant say he is neither can anyone else on here not that it stops them labelling him) but he has never had any problems with other managers or chairmen. Good players are treat differently and behave differently, that is a fact. Good managers put up with indiscretions for the good of the team, and no not let em ride roughshod but handle them appropriately.
Dont you think Fergie has known for years that Giggs was shafting everything that moves, with Adam Pearson there would he be saying its a disgrace get rid of him, of course not.

To the point where given a chance to work his way back into the team he goes out and does what he did (the drinking, the bird bit i couldn't care about). If you've been given the chance to prove yourself to the manager and you throw it back at him like that, it's not gonna go down well. If anything, it shows you're not fully dedicated to the job. There's nothing wrong with going to the pub etc, but when you come back intoxicated the next day that's when the issue arises. My boss would hit the ****ing roof if i came in hungover to work, and rightly so. At the time JB should have being concentrating on working his way back into the club's plans, but decided to come in hungover to work, where one would question how dedicated he was to fighting for his place. I don't think anyone expects angels, but they have to behave accordingly at the same time.

Same with Damien Delaney just after the move to the KC, i remember Taylor saying on the radio after the game.

Again you are guessing he did this. But do you think this has never happened with other footballers? Surely you would just make him run until he throws his guts up, then keep running him. Pretty sure thats what George Graham did with Arsenal.

How can i be guessing over something which appears to be public knowledge? He was given the chance to work his way back into the team pre-Slovenia then is cast aside afterwards. It's all largely cloak and dagger still and a legitimate inside source needs to confirm tghe details of what happened. Obviously if turning up hungover was Bullard's first offence then this whole thing has been blown out of all proportion, so there must be some foundation for the club to suspend him like they have done. There's more to it than this one incident. I think (not know) that the kick in the teeth for the management team must have been the fact that he was given this chance to become a part of the manager's plans, yet decides to piss about getting hammered. I'm not for one minute saying there's anything wrong with having a drink, that would make me a hypocrite but with the situation Bullard found himself in at that point in time it made it look like he was more bothered about his social life than getting his head down and working to get back into the team. By all means he's welcome to a drink, but not at the point where he is hungover and is affecting him in training etc. I'm not naive enough to think footballers live the lives of monks, but they are expected to act in a manner which is acceptable for the job they are doing, i.e not getting rat arsed brefore training etc. I would expect the same stance from the club should Danny East find himself in trouble again, so i'm not making Bullard an exception to the rest. Anyway, this thread is going off tangent slightly and there's plenty of threads about JB kicking about!

Just ignore Chazz. He ranks along with the likes of Percy and TonyM. You will never win so dont bother mate :headbang::headbang:

I had many with him on various topics. Whats the matter Chazz ? wouldn't he talk with such a meat head as you ?

Jelousy can eat one up you know. Bet you have trouble taking to yourself.

Soi where did all these conversations take place? Why was he pouring his heart out to you saying he wants to quit?

The point I was trying to make on this thread was to ask people to think twice before labelling players as useless/**** or whatever, as it is not helpful at all. l'm not getting involved in the Turner argument but maybe it's better to get behind players, his example shows it takes players a while sometimes to get to grip with things. Hobbs is a case in point, does anybody really think writing him off without letting him build up a head of confidence as Captain is a good thing? Mcshanes another one, written off but he captained his country and looked good pre-season. Please give players a chance.

Sometimes it all depends what you want to see at a game. When certain players run out then some people look out for every thing they do wrong and conveniently ignore the good things they do.

I remember one game with Myhill in goal, and during the match he had made 4 or 5 fantastic saves, but going out of the game afterwards quite a lot of people were constantly moaning about how crap he had done because of one howler he had made.

I could never understand how when we lost just how suicidal some fans become. Granted we all get fed up after a bad game, but FFS some just take the biscuit after some matches.

To be fair to chazz unlike Percy the debate remains civilised and no insults being made. I don't agree with what he thinks, he doesn't agree with me but with Percy my support for the club is questioned (apparantly by supporting the Pearsons i'm not thinking about the best for the club, for ****s sake).

I really dont understand the mentality of "fans" who criticise the players.

They are doing the away fans job for them.

Imagine what it is like being at work with someone telling you that you are **** every 10 seconds and then lets see what your concentration is like.

Every visiting managers team talk must start with "These Hull fans are ****ers so just wait for them to demoralise their players and then take advantage"

It now seems more popular to complain than support.
