Personally i might think a player is not up to standards, but you never express it to the players, if you boo a player it will make them play worse, yes maybe hobbs had a bad game, maybe a few passes from Mckenna went astray but you never should boo, for example friday people boo'd the full team when it was only a few players who let us down, at the end of the day they play for the club and with the exception of a certain player they all want to play and do there best so don't get on their backs.

Yesterday, the support was unwavering, loud and didn't stop from the start of the game to the final whistle and nobody played badly.

Maybe there's a lesson to be learned there? :emoticon-0112-wonde

I marvel at the whingers. There's some near me that don't make a noise until they think we're struggling, then they wake up with whines and moans.

They usually claim it's there right as they've paid their money. I've asked if that logic applies all round? For instance would it be acceptable for someone to spend all game telling them what **** supporters they are? It usually gets a mumble and a shuffle of the feet.

I have started saying something to the moaners around me recently and as soon as you say something logical about the actual game and that its not Hobbs fault he is being forced into forty yards passes for example they soon shut up.

I agree lets hope the backing continues against Leeds :D

Which ever player they've decided to pick on, really make a meal of every positive contribution they make. It's quite revealing how you'll end up cheering far more than they whinge. It even works for Harper, especially if you point out how they were out of position to cover AN Other more popular player.

Aye same here, standing ovation when Harpers come off the lot.....

I think some of them around me still blame Ashbee, every time he mis placed a pass they used to want him to be dropped or sold. When we sell him they said well Ash would of being there......

When a player makes a mistake on the pitch his team mates will either give him a pat on the back or a wave that means don't worry about it. They understand that his confidence has to be restored asap for the good of the team.
Supporters are the '12th man' and we play an active part in any match. If supporters put confidence into the players the players will play better, if the crowd single out a player negatively he wil play worse.
The fact is that the crowd have a chance to influence the result of a match positively or negatively. So next time you come away from the KC criticising a player's performance ask yourself how well you played.
Also anyone who thinks players are incapable of finding and reading a football forum are kidding themselves.

Some Ashbee bashers used to sit behind me.I just did exactly as you suggest, and they'd always go quiet. The best one was when we conceded a goal and one of them furiously spat out"AHHRG EFFING ASHBEE AGAIN,GET HIM OFF" .
I turned around and laughed in his face.He just looked puzzled at me. Ashbee's not playing today you goon,i chuckled.
    Those guy's don't sit behind me anymore ! :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I say this all the time, the amount of times I heard Ash being slagged off over the years but he's seen as an angel in these dummies eyes now.
