To be fair there's a lot of good work to combat STDs going on in Hull.
As part of the City of Culture year there's even talk of having a local 'focus month' for the problem with 'Cocktober' as the current favourite.

Keep it up folks..........(but stick a prophylactic on it.)

It did OLM, now disposed of I believe, but the main tower block had a chequered history, stories go that when pilling for the building some 80ft piles just disappeared due to the state of the ground but although 'brutalist' as you mentioned, on a functional level it covered a very diverse set of courses. Brough used to have jet engine testing facilities I was told and the only way to get the engines in and out of the College was to knock down some outside walls and that is why that some of the brickwork at the back of the College is of a different colour to the rest. I started there in the mid 60's for my apprenticeship and entrance was tough, interviews and the such were no push over.

The building I mean DMD is the 3 story place on the front of the Queens Garden site on the left if you look at the main building from the front., it has changed name a few times and to be honest I'm not sure what it is called now but it used to be the Wilberforce Building. The building on the right, which used to belong to the University of Lincoln, is now an art and design centre.

Not really a case of being snowflakes or not. More a case of doing what's appropriate and what isn't.

Like the son of that Pink Floyd **** who swung on the Cenotaph in London as part of some political protest, expressing his views on the injustices of our society.
One person's 'old statue' is another person's place of remembrance.
All those buried in the WWI cemeteries on the Western Front will have been dead for a century next year.
Step forward those who fancy an art installation in Tyne Cot.

The Pigeon Detectives have cancelled their gigs at
North Point Shopping Centre on Thursday and Sirius Academy West Friday due to complications with the lead singer's knee op.

They are hoping to still play the Freedom Centre on Saturday. I'm supposed to be going to that one. No idea where it is or where to park though. Is there a car park??

It's on Preston Road and it's got a car park.

Yes, car parks at the front and round the back behind Cooperative, and off the street behind.

Obviously if you park away from Freedom Centre, don't leave any valuables on display and try to take a car you don't really want anymore.

I was joking but I don't think so? Or perhaps I've just never noticed - I'm at the Freedom Centre regularly as I present a show on Hull Kingston Radio (which is based there). The car parks aren't massive, I don't know how many tickets there are. But plenty of on street options around there.

Preston Rd copshop is at the junction of Aldborough Grove and Preston Rd.
