25 man squad - spot the issue

Simply select your 25 man squad from the following players that are senior players (ie can't be named as U21) and available

GK - Jakupovic, Marshall, Kuciak
D - Robertson, Davies (HG), Dawson (HG), Maguire (HG), Ranocchia, Lenihan
M - Omar, Elmo, Meyler, Hudds (HG), Clucas (HG), Maloney, Henriksen, Evandro, Markovic, Grosicki, N'Diaye, and possibly Salibar is still an option
F - Abel, Mbokani, Diomande, Niasse, Luer

(Tymon, Bowen, Mannion etc are U21 list so don't need naming)

20 - must be HG
21 - must be HG
22 - must be HG
23 - must be HG
24 - must be HG

Once you've used the players at the top, any spaces that can be filled by these players have to be filled with these players who are injured but eligible to play if they make an unlikely early return - Moses(HG), Mason (HG), Keane (HG), Lenihan, Luer

Any spaces left then go to Bruce (HG) and McGregor who are fit but as they're out on loan ineligible for us for the rest of the season

Good spot, will have to look into that.

Same overall problem exists if we bring in Salibar as well though.

Could just name 2GK in the list if Mannion is ready to be 3rd choice. Failing that would it be Maloney that you'd leave out due to lack of space?

I wouldn't leave Maloney out in a million years. I think he could be like a new signing.

Our squad is so tiny. I can't believe many other relegation rivals will only need to leave 3 players out of their squad.

Going from your list so hoping you didn't miss anybody out and assuming no return for Mason this season:

9- Elabdellaoui (HG) (registered as a man city youth age 17, there for over 3 years before 21)

19-Hernandez
20-Mbokani
21-Diomande

If Mason has a chance then he can be in instead of Luer.

*edit - thought needed 7 HGs not 8 so removed Lenihan who doesn't seem to be playing anyway so will need half a season of under 23s.

So yeah, it looks like we've balanced the homegrowns perfectly? Only Lenihan and Mason/Luer need to miss out.
 
I'm struggling to confirm if Omar is HG. You have to be registered for 3 whole seasons or 36 months.

It would depend on when he signed & when he went out on loan as well as whether or not City retain his registration whilst out on loan.
 
So what kind of shape are we looking at?

Having brought some wingers in it presumably won't be 3-5-2.

Could be 4-4-2 with only two from Hudd, Clucas, Evandro, N'Diaye and Meyler.

Could be 4-2-3-1 with only one of Hernandez/Mbokani.

Or something else even? Either way, there's gonna be a few wide players missing out at any one time in addition to the above. That's a good thing - we finally we have some real options. The question really is how good they actually are.
