Now that I totally agree with. Not sure how you can just pass off what Sam done as a fluke? I think he needs credited for what he pulled off.
If Rodriguez is injured then perhaps we have a chance to get him. We are good at signing injured players. Are we the only club to suffer from bed blocking?
3 out of 3 overseas signings with no experiance of the league all hitting the ground running is exceptional by anyone's standards, especially for Sam who's transfer history has always been patchy through his career. never said he wasn't due credit for it.
Newcastle midfielder Cheick Tiote had agreed a two year deal with an UNNAMED club in China What the ****?
It must be a right **** house club, so where you gone Cheicky, Shenhua? Guangdong Luneng? Dinghou Beavers. Who?
I personally liked him and i was disapointed to see him leave. He wasnt technically that good but he has balls of steel and hes a big lump. Im not sure if his games improved over the last few years over in Spain.
He was only 22 when he signed for Sunderland and in his first few games I thought he looked pretty good. Only got half a season (though played most of the games iirc) then changes of manager did for him I think. Tad concerning that he's been released 2-3 times since then but he's approaching his peak now and worth a gamble I'd have thought.
Bang average. Big and strong though, physically imposing. Needs more time on the ball then he'll get and he's a poor passer. He'd slow our game and take the sting out of attacks. Could have developed since than though.
Seriously disappointed we've not brought a striker in. There was clearly some money available. Again, if Defoe gets a knock we've got no one to play there at all.
