Anyone trying to spin a positive on this is an idiot, end of. Silva came in and said we don't want to lose any players, we are now losing one of our most influential and proven players, alongside Jake who was a proven and versatile prem player (regardless of whether you thought he was avergae or not). He's been involved in 9 of our 17 premier league goals this season, so whoever replaces him has big shoes to fill and there is no guarantee whatsoever they will do that. Buying in January is a notoriously hard time to bring in the right sort of player, you're generaly feeding for scraps. Patty you WUM **** off and die, I don't allow you the right to respond.

Not unexpected but that's a kick in the balls and an indication the club will sell anyone we get a half decent bid in for no matter what the manager says/wants.

I'll be the first to admit I didn't think we bring in anyone this window and I'm presently that we have. I also hope beyond hope that they all come good for us.

I'll also say that I didn't expect us to be selling two (at least) of our most consistent players at the same time. Nor do I think we should have needed to.

I also don't in anyway share the optimism of the posters who think MS will get the money to spend and that he has targets lined up for this cash. I hope I'm wrong.

I think we are in danger of ripping out the heart of a team that was starting to gel and introducing a group of strangers who will need time we don't have to gel.

IMO Livermore isn't worth any more than 5 million, and Snodgrass isn't worth more than 10 million. This is in the real world not football manager.

If we make a big signing in the next few days, which I imagine we will, things may look very different.

Snodgrass doesn't offer much to the team other than set pieces, some may say this is vital and I would have to agree. But I'd rather Marco spend the money on players he really wants than keep a free kick taker he doesn't particularly want.

Daniel Levy well and truly had our pants down in 2014 then. A player is worth what the owner's determine they're worth, and ours are willing to sell our best players for peanuts.

Wake up, in the real world of football Championship midfielders go for over 10m and we sign a Spurs cast off for 13m. A winger with the second best conversion rate from FKs in the league who has contributed 50% of a team's goals is worth 20m+.

If snoddy gets a knock and his knee plays up That's great business! BUT if he plays like he has been doing for us? then it's not a poor decisions it's f'king bordering on comical :emoticon-0149-no:

On another note 2 years ago Livermoee was worth nothing and Snodgrass was injured and worth nowt. So from a owners perspective they've gained 20 million maybe? I'm not sticking up for them mind in today's market both are worth 30 million together.

They were never 'worth nowt', that is complete and utter bullshit.

knickers in a knot big time on here. have you lot forgotten Snoddy was out for more than a year with a serious injury? He is probably one kick away from ending his career. £10 million is a good price for a 29 year old with his history.

If you think Snodgrass is worth anywhere near 20 million you're down right deluded.

But he's pushing 30, iffy knee, and doesn't have long left on his contract

Seems we have learned a valuable lesson from Levy in the Jake and Snods deal...........but it is no good ripping off other clubs, if we don't reinvest the money wisely.

Derby got £10.5 million for Hendrick and Brighton wanted close to that for Stephens, even though he had a year left on his contract. If Championship midfielders cost that much these days then we shouldn't have sold Livermore for anything less than £15 million.
