They were never 'worth nowt', that is complete and utter bullshit.

Maybe a bit extreme. However in hindsight 2 years ago you'd have said to me we'd be selling them for a combined total of 20 million I'd have said that was utter bullshit. Despite the circumstances with Livermore the FA could of taken a different opinion on it he'd be worth nowt.

Anyway sorry. I'll get back to slagging off Ehab. [HASHTAG]#askehab[/HASHTAG]!

Baffles me when people get excited about receiving a large fee for a player. It might as well be Monopoly money the way football finances work. It's not like FIFA where you just get £10m in cash and spend it on an even better player. It could go on anything. The chances of Silva getting £20m in fees to spend is extremely unlikely, and even if he did, the chances of us getting anyone as good as Snodgrass at a club like this must be close to 0.

And if you think he offers nothing more than set pieces you're a mentalist.

Derby got £10.5 million for Hendrick and Brighton wanted close to that for Stephens, even though he had a year left on his contract. If Championship midfielders cost that much these days then we shouldn't have sold Livermore for anything less than £15 million.

Fulham want 20m for Cairney FFS. To suggest asking for similar for a player with the proven record of Snodgrass is ludicrous is silly.

15 million for Jake Livermore? <laugh>

Jesus christ this is pathetic.

The biggest surprise for me in all this is that people are surprised. We've signed 2 attacking midfielders already this window, at what point did people think he wasn't going?

Ha, pushing 30 is suddenly a point against Snoddy? But when I suggest someone who's 32 is old I get laughed at?

Age doesn't matter when he's doing what he's been doing for us this season.

Yes it does, realistically the club that buys Snodgrass isn't going to get much back for him at all.

As I said, if you think Snodgrass is worth 20+ Million you're down right deluded.

But that's the transfer market these days. Is Ross Barkley worth £60 million+? Most people would say no, but Everton say yes and that's all that matters. Owners dictate how much a player is worth and the Allams are undervaluing our players in the current market.

You're right he has got a proven record in the Premier League - he gets relegated every season he plays*

* I think, I haven't actually checked.

Pathetic, how exactly? The best Championship midfielders with no Premier League experience cost at least £10 million these days. A 27-year-old midfielder with at least 2-3 years Premier League experience who has played consistently this season should cost more.

They most certainly didn't undervalue Livermore, 10 million was a great deal for us. In the real world, I think 10 million is about right for Snodgrass at this stage of his career with not long left on his contract.

You say "in the real world" as if the PL lives in the real world. In this day and age of inflated TV deals, the prices players go for are ridiculous.

Funny you should mention that because you can sign Ryan Mason on FIFA 17 for about £5 million. FIFA's a video game though and if Daniel Levy says Ryan Mason is worth £13 million then he's worth £13 million. That's the whole point of the transfer market.

Exactly and who's fault is it that we have to keep accepting this type of offer because there not tied down to longer contracts ? As soon as we got promoted talks should have happened with all the squad with only a year left on there deals
