With the inauguration of the Donald, I have been thinking back and rating the US Presidents in my lifetime.

1. Reagan
2. LBJ
3. G.H Bush
4. G.W Bush
5. Nixon
6. Ford
7. Carter
8. Clinton
9. Obama

Anyone disagree with that - anyone lived under a better US President than RR ?

@ForestHillBilly
- you can't have rated Harry Truman <whistle>

Consistency. You slate Blair for war crimes, but have Bush at 4?

Typical left wing hack - I slated Blair for lying and then for immigration.

Whatever you say about Bush, he didn't lie. He said from Day One that he wanted "Regime Change" which was illegal under UN law. He vowed to kill Saddam in revenge for Saddam's assassination attempt on his father in Kuwait. Say what you like about Dubya, but he didn't lie on Iraq.

Highlights of Bush's stint as president:

Going to Afghanistan - The US already had plans to invade before 9/11, which was a great excuse to go ahead with it. I'm sure the vast amount of natural resources in Afghanistan had nothing to do with it, nor Opium - production increased 35 fold within a year of invading.

Iraq. Don't need to say much. No forward planning as to what would happen when Saddam was gone. As much as a **** he was, he had the country in check. Compare it to Iraq now.

Shoddy handling of hurricane Katrina led to unnecessary deaths. Mainly poor black people, so who cares?

Lots of deregulation under Bush, which was a factor in the global recession.

I loved Ronnie. He made Spitting Image such a success, and when he retired the show wasn't the same. No defense for Dubya. The Iraq war has been a disaster for the middle east. LBJ gets credit for pushing through Kennedy's civil rights reforms, but the Vietnam war was another disaster. Fortunately we had a prime minister who resisted his request to get British troops involved.

@ForestHillBilly[/USER] - you can't have rated Harry Truman <whistle>
No, but I go back to Kennedy, and was in the kitchen when he got shot. I was on my way to the A.T.C. where we we all stood to attention and the C.O. announced it to the squadron.
Nixon would go bottom of my list for his "Madman theory of war", which resulted in an innocent country, Cambodia, being bombed to destruction, hence the emergence of the Khmer Rouge and the killing fields.

Gonna be honest. Think there's only Clinton and now that I can physically remember. So I'll go:
1. Clinton (because he got laid in office)
2. Trump (because he's controversial)
3. Obama (because he's the meme president)
4. Bush Jr., (as well the only other one)
