i think his point is that every transfer is a risk, and we should know that just cos a player has been doing it in the premiership for years dont mean he gonna be good, Nicky Butt, Alan Smith, Mark Viduka and Michael Owen prove that!

yeah very true mate but didnt think there was any reason to name call tho !! very sad indeed

Haway Chappaz, no need for that, his opinion is very valid, they COULD flop.

Why resort to name calling?

Expect better from you marra.

Because instead of constructive decent discussion, it just melts down into "well your player could flop" "well YOUR player could flop" and so on and so forth.

Anyone with an IQ over 10 knows that any player in NUFC or SAFC could flop. Some are perhaps higher risk than others. Just repeating that same thing without any constructive points is just a waste of time.

football isnt about scoring goals??? what the ****?? hahaha the rest of your post isnt to bad tho ;)

It isn't JUST about scoring goals. Read.

A team could score 5 goals a match, but if they concede 6, then they'll be relegated. Controlling the overall game more than the opponent shouldn't be sacrificed to just try and poach goals. It's that sort of control we sacrificed by having Nolan, just so he could do the job which is supposed to be done by some quality strikers.

but if you dont score you dont win it's as simple as that!! we seemed to do ok when we had bent!

Haway Chappaz, you were very vocal in the 'Whickham' is a massive gamble debate.

Can't have it both ways mate.

Why is it so hard to comprehend that you can score goals AND avoid conceding them? Are you really 31 years old?

Anyway, as for your theory, tell that to Blackpool.

He was, but I was just trying to discuss it constructively to people who somehow disputed that he could possibly be a flop and that his fee wasn't excessive for such a gamble. 'Smithy' is just repeating the same line over and over again and not really adding anything to it. No one is disputing that they could be flops, anyone could, but really it's tiresome.

All we're doing (mags) is explaining why we're optimistic about next season. You asked why, after losing our top scorers, we can think we're in a better position. Some mags have came along and answered your question. However, your response to the answers you were looking for is "well they're unknowns and they might flop".

Yeah, we get it, but if that's all you're going to say there was no point in answering your question. I thought you genuinely might be interested in what we're thinking, but your response just made it obvious that it's another NUFC vs SAFC point scoring game.

I think if you were to take a good 'objective' look at yourself, you would admit that the problem lies with you having an inferiority complex...If ever you want to talk about it, I will be more than willing to offer you some advice...<whistle>

You are a boring tedious man, but you were successful in dragging the point I was making somewhere else entirely so I guess congrats for now

well that was your answer and that was my answer no need to be a bitch about it is there?? none of the other lads that were over here reacting to post's felt the need to be a prick so why did you??? and for the record this is the first time ive even commented on a newcastle oriented post, so how i can be repeating my self over and over like you put it, i dont know...

anyway cant be arsed to sit and argue with you or anybody else for that matter, so if you dont like me or my opinion just keep it to yourself and i will do likewise? deal?? :)
