That remains to be seen, as things stand currently we've just flogged one of our starting XI for £10m and haven't placed a significant bid for anyone.

He came on at 3-1 after 86 minutes, in, arguably, our best performance of the season; so not always one of our starting XI.

The deals not done yet and we have no idea what offers are made or coming to fruituon. Why not just give events a chance of taking shape; it really does come across that you, and othets, just can't stomach Allam doing something right.

I forgot about Maloney to be honest. He's never really made an impact for us sadly, the odd good bit here and there but he's not the player he was. That said I'd rather see Snodgrass on the right where he's best and shoehorn someone else on the left rather than weaken both flanks.

Clucas I didn't even think was good enough last season but he's doing far better in the middle.

Would be nice getting a left winger in

There's a lot of panicking on here, why not just wait until the end of the window?

For all we know Silva is happy to sell the likes of Livermore & Snodgrass because he wants to bring in players that fit his new system.

Every new manager who wants to completely change the way the team plays will need new players. Im more than happy to see Livermore and Snodgrass go IF Silva manages to bring in better players that improve our starting 11.

We're in a bit of a transition period... maybe not the best time given the fact we're half way through a season and in a relegation battle.. but it is what it is, we have a new manager playing a new system and we'll need new players.

There's a trend for football fans to quote the lower (reported) prices for players their club buys and the higher reported prices for players their club sells.

Amusingly, most of our fans seem to do the opposite with the Allams.

More excellent posts.

If you look at the players Silva is chasing it doesn't take a genius to work out the type of players he'll probably want to move on.
Just face it folks, we're all going on a mystery adventure with Marco and it will probably be emotional.

Im enjoying the intrigue
Beats the doom and gloom and a manager who has no ideas or is scared to try new things

Looking forward to tomorrow , hopefully have omar in the bag,
And see if livermores funds allow us to sign more

Interesting that were still linked with van der wiel depsite many believing omars close to being done
The article on sky saying omar is imminent, was first posted yesterday and then re posted by Sky earlier today. Not sure what they class as imminent!!!

Not 100% sure if he's coming in ,as I mentioned in an early post the Dutch guy van der veil is still in the picture according to sky, Fenerbahce are willing to let him go but want a permanent deal, just wondering if maybe that why we agreed a fee for Jake (just guessing)got the impression MS was keen on him

There's zero chance of us signing Van Der Weil on a permanent, he's on Champions League money.

I'm not 100%, but I think that might be the first PL game he hasn't started this season, utterly bizarre to suggest he's not a starting XI player.

That's why I said 'it remains to be seen'.

Of all the over top rants on this thread, you've picked a really innocuous post to have a go at.

At the start of the season Jake started in defence - we did well - when he moved into midfield we started getting tonked - when MS came and didn't play him we started winning again

He played 90 minutes in Silva's first game in charge, which we won 2-0. He would have played against Man United if he wasn't ill (we lost without him) and we won on Saturday when he played (though not much).

Silva's only lost the game Jake didn't play in.
