Talk of these wonderful "contacts" is just a hopeful way of saying we have a manager who knows the Greek league a bit. He hasn't got magic back room staff.
I'd be very worried indeed if we sold our better players to fund guesses. Squad players maybe, or one player who we could replace, but not our most versatile midfielder who is first choice or near as damn it.
Now is the time to hold what you have and add. Sell only if you are sure you have to (contract v price issues ) or are positive you are benefitting and not helping a rival

Selling Jake is to me is sending the wrong message to the rest of the dressing room, and could possibly damage team spirit

Talk of his contacts mean hes good friends with jorge mendes whos probably the most prominent agent out there who will have a massive web if contacts, which silva can tap into so im not buying into the he knows the greek league abit.
Id be very worried if we kinda accepted the squad we had now, didnt want to improve and take risks, and we dont progress and stagnate

FWIW I agree with Silva's statements that we shouldn't be selling anyone only bringing in more quality and more cover. The squads paper thin.

Theres some real competition for stupid posts today.
Livermore has been our best CM by far and probably our best CB.
It would be a disaster to lose him.
If Silva doesnt rate him, he's wrong. no evidence of this though.
Mendes was reported to have recommended him for the Wolves job. I think everything after that was just twitterspere adding one and one to get 5.

He's probably been our most consistent player this season. In a positive sense. Others have obviously also been consistent but on tuther end of the scale.
