Silva is obviously not messing about sorting out our weak areas - additional competition upfront, creative midfielder, right-back and another attacker to follow (with PACE being added too...hallelujiah!). He bemoaned only having 15 players to work with (before losing Henriksen) so even if we brought in 5 i can't see him losing Snodgrass, Clucas and Livermore - particualry bearing in mind these are 3 of our more highly rated players. It just wouldn't make sense. He also wouldn't have took the job if he had been told that he would have to sell a few of his 15-man squad to be able to bring some players in. We should be rejecting all bids, stating any further bids not welcome. Discuss with the players who have been the subject of the bids to say - 'lets see where we are at the end of the season!'.
That report, like your posts, is just space filling speculation, nothing had been substantiated & it was confirmed as wrong when Silva wasn't approached nor did he get the job. Not a single quote is included within the article. Stick to FM & your homework. You're.
Livermore is too good for Boro and too good for us. Therefore. The move makes little sense. 10 million is too small a fee. They are relegation rivals. It's a sideways move for him. Ehab might be an obstinate dick. But he appears to be a hard faced businessman who doesn't like to be taken for a mug. Surely he sees that the value of staying in the league financially and for the purpose of selling the club is beneficial. So a quick buck now on any player isn't worth it. Not to any team from mid table down. And in the worst case scenario, any of these decent players are sold in no circumstances does anyone leave until a replacement is brought in.
Not as simple as that. For what we'd get for Jake we couldn't buy better in the Premier League. If they come from the Championship/abroad it would take time to settle and bed in and we don't have time. In a relegation battle you need to keep your good players and add better ones!
There isn't anyone better than Livermore that is going to move to our shambles and mismanaged club, mid season in a relegation battle for the prices we can afford. Then said players have zero time to adjust to living in a new city and playing with new teammates. We need to strengthen, not replace.
Think you'll find Daniel Levy takes Ehab for a mug every time he does business with him .. not to mention Ehab paying the full wage for a striker on loan who wasn't allowed anywhere near the first team .. the man tries to be a hard nosed businessman but in truth he is absolutely clueless
If you could get in Kante for the same money would that improve the squad? Obviously that's not going to happen but you've got to trust the manager if he believes he can improve the squad should he sell anyone.
I totally appreciate that Personally and obviously people will disagree as shown, I think if we could get a specialist defensive midfielder as well as a rwb/winger in for a good price id cash in on jake
Do you not think it better if he bought them first? Do you not think it would be a better idea to then sell the lesser player's than Jake? Do you think it's advisable to sell our most consistent player so far this season. A player who can offer reliable cover at centre half, especially at a time when all 3 of our current centre halves are fresh from returning from injuries? If you Trust Silva why would you advise selling a player when he has been open & clear that he needs players in rather than player's out? If we get rid first hiw do you know the player he may bring in, to replace him, will be better & not a waste of money that could have instead been used to build our training facilities? You have no clue & no logic. You spout so much "I know what I'm in about" **** you can't even keep up with yourself. You'll be doing "Done deal, done deal" threads next.
Think we should just in trust Silva he seems to be doing ok at the moment and i would guess he already has a few players in mind and might want to sell to get them. We will find out soon enough i think he would only bring in quality anyway he knows what he wants if it is jake then he will keep him if not he will say sell.
No. At his own last count we had 15 players training. Losing anybody will weaken the squad. If we did buy Payet (I know it won't happen) & had to sell somebody surely Livermore wouldn't be the choice.
