He's really not, he undoubtedly has the talent but I've always thought you should be getting more out of him. I've always thought that he should be scoring at least 10 and assisting the same each year as an absolute minimum. This season is the only time he's come anywhere close to that but really he should be taking the league by storm. Then again I thought the same of Diame but he was a big let down in the Championship, minus Wembley of course
Elmo's agent claiming he has 3 or 4 offers from other Prem clubs!?! He has over 3 years left on his deal? A bit strange..... Also is he been good enough to be demanding a move if we go down?
An absolute minimum? Only one player scored over 10 while getting over 10 assists in the Championship last season and he's in the Premier League now. Cairney scored 8 with 7 assists last season, well up among the best in the league.
Your stats are off. Judge and Martin both did it and McCormack and Gray were close too but scored over 20 Sorry to be nit-picky but Tom was 8 goals and 6 assists but he should be doing an awful lot better. He doesn't seem to have built on his breakout PL season with us
You must think our midfield is utterly ****ing useless, we've never had a player get anywhere near those sort of numbers in the Championship. Judge is the only one of the players you've mentioned who plays in midfield and presumably you thought he was **** ahead of last season, as he's 28 and he's never got anywhere near those numbers outside of last season. You're talking bollocks.
No, I said that a player with his ability should be averaging far higher numbers. He shouldn't be anywhere near the championship, but I'd be amazed if he became a decent PL player.
I call it common sense and a shrewd move to stay in PL by Snodgrass What player wants to slog it out in a relegation battle You talk absolute sh it most of the time
Given that's exactly what you'll be involved in come the end of the season, I doubt he'd leave one relegation battle to join another. Besides, you can't afford him. 18 months left on his contract = top dollar.
Have any scouts been watching Elmo over the last couple of years or do they think he is playing at the same standard he was 3/4 years ago. Elmo has been a great servant to the club but he has performed at a substandard level for some time now. He isn't good enough for Everton and if we weren't so threadbare then I wouldn't care to greatly if he moved on. He is defensively woeful. And I look forward to Odubajo's return and hope he recovers well. It goes to show you that there is a massive shortage of fullback out there.
Shane Long signed for Southampton for 12million in 2014. It is now 3 years later and transfer fees have evolved and inflated since then. Snodgrass is a far more valuable to us as our best player in a relegation battle. He has scored 7 goals already in a team at the bottom of the league. Therefore West Ham offering £3million (half what we paid for him) for him is insane and illogical and he would command a minimum of 12 million and even then I would turn that down. Snodgrass can do better than Boro.
Moses is twice the player Elmo is and has a much better attitude, hope he comes back strong from injury. He's got more potential than Robbo to play for a top team IMO, much stronger defensively.
I'd stick him in the £20m plus bracket. What's Payet valued at? Can't be much difference in values between the two.
Robbo was better than Moses last season. Robbo winning poty on here based on votes over the season showed that. Moses has never played in the prem so a bit rediculous to say he's a better defender?
£55k per week for a player that looks good on you tube (so did Prozzy & Ghilas) yet has been frozen out as a laughing stock at Everton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
