His leaving was nothing to do with his ability, he got himself in bother hanging around will Bullard.
Bullard left in 2011. Cairney left in 2014.
His leaving was nothing to do with his ability, he got himself in bother hanging around will Bullard.

Aye, cocked that up, I was it was Cooper, not Cairney.
Not sure that's correct either.Thought that was Cooper who got into bother hanging around with Bullard

Boro now allegedly making a move for Snodgrass.
Can't all these **** clubs just **** off?
I note that the striker on loan from Everton hasn't signed yet when it looked like he was going to yesterday. Has young allam f...ed that up as usual?
Cairney whilst being a regular got badly injured at Doncaster and looked to be out for 6 months
Days after Quinn was signed by Bruce and 2 months later Meyler arrived on loan and Cairney was never going to oust either of those.
Cairney would run rings round Meyler - the only person not to see that was Bruce who sold him for peanuts b Bl;ackburn before they sold him to Fulham for over £3mill - we would never get that much for Meyler
We ended up getting £1.25m for Cairney.
His leaving was nothing to do with his ability, he got himself in bother hanging around will Bullard.
And?
Bullard was long gone by the time Steve Bruce took over, played Quinn and his ****ing son in midfield ahead of him whilst giving Tom a few minutes here and there as a lone striker, then criminally shipped him off for peanuts.
It was such a waste of talent on our part. You can easily argue it was justified as we got promoted but look at the player Tom became in that first season at Blackburn, he could easily have turned out just as good playing for us and who knows he might even have helped us win the league.
He's not even that good of a player now. He's a decent Championship attacking midfielder, but nothing more. He wouldn't get into our side now either
