Whilst I'm quite looking forward to silva taking over, my only concerns are
If in 6 months we get relegated and he leaves, all the backroom staff go aswell. So we have to start again but what's the point in changing the scouting system for someone who could be gone.
Talksport reckon the agent has promised them some players but how do you get players when the manager might only be there for 6 months

It all just seems to much of a risk for what could be a short term plan (providing the 6 month get out is true)

Agree, how many oversea players are we allowed on loan, I suppose he's arriving with the attitude that he's going to get us out of this mess we're in otherwise there no point in arriving with all his backroom staff, just to bugger off a few months later

I recall Rafa had a similar get out clause at Newcastle which he chose not to exercise. I'm not too hung up about the 6 month bit, let's get there first then see where we are.

It's a bit like Liverpool resting players in their CL tie against Real Madrid so that they... could qualify for CL the following year. Which they didn't. The reason clubs exist is to win silverware, but we want to throw away a very good opportunity to win something to maybe, possibly, potentially stay up in the PL for a second season where anything could happen including going down anyway?

Like it or lump it Syd, many fans nowadays are far more interested in being able to see the likes of Rooney and co on their doorstep than see their club ever achieve anything.

I'm hoping that Silva spots that we have a crippling lack of pace in the team. I long for a Shane Long type player - someone that can stretch the opposition. When we defend and sit deep we just don't look like catching teams on the counter - for a bottom 6 team you need this in your armoury.

Lets hope that this is the start of better time's for city, I think we've suffered enough now.

We actually need a rethink of the club. We have started to become a yo-yo club like West Brom did but have never capitalised on this by investing in a good strcuture - from facilities (training ground) to youth set up. Pennock's appointment has been the only ray of sunshine but i'd like Silva to sit down with him and plan a longer term strategy and future. A potential 6 month stay doesn't really suggest this is the focus - we can only pray that he pulls something out of the bag, we survive and then we look at a more secure future. Sadly, it will have to be under new ownership for this to ever come to fruition.

Marshall does not have much luck. He is the best keeper we have, but he should have to compete for his place. Bad luck or poor judgement it's hard to tell, but unfortunately there is no hiding from the fact that we are shipping goals at an alarming rate.
Jakupovic seems to believe in himself that little bit more.
But the problem is not a bad keeper, it's the whole team.

Swanny thinks that getting rid of Phelan is the worst decision in Citys history
he would think that. hes a braindead ****

But I thought the general consensus was that we were getting bigger, more loyal support in lower leagues that in the aftermath of the honeymoon of PL? Shouldn't we go for glory if that's the case?
