If city ever somehow did become successful , our second champions league final would be empty anyway because fans had already been to one ..
but we have a manager with a win % at Olympiacos of almost 80%.. I dont think he will spunk it on players not to get a tune out of them.No it wouldn't, it would be spunked on more new players and we'd be sat here in 12 months saying "I just wanna stay up this season, because the money next year will help move the club forward".
didnt EA say there were 5 or 6 incoming?[/QUOTE][QUOTE="Hull City AFC (GLP), post: 10080441, member: 1001744"
A striker coach! Hallelujah! He just needs a striker to work with now!

If we had held our 2-0 lead against Arsenal in the FA Cup I wouldn't have traded that feeling for anything. I guess some are after cash and others for glory.
No reason cash can't build glory at a later date. PL stability is the priority, I'm sure if you asked any sane chairman (exclude ours) they would want to remain tapped into this PL revenue stream.
i guarantee you 100% silva will try and win the semi final
It's a bit like Liverpool resting players in their CL tie against Real Madrid so that they... could qualify for CL the following year. Which they didn't. The reason clubs exist is to win silverware, but we want to throw away a very good opportunity to win something to maybe, possibly, potentially stay up in the PL for a second season where anything could happen including going down anyway?
I hear what youre saying man.
but we are bottom of the league right now.
Id rather get our confidence up by securing our PL status.
whats to say that we cant do both?
You're comparing SAF to a manager you'd never even heard of till todaySAF only had a win % of 63%
You're priceless Patty
Im not saying that we should prefer one over the other, but I would rather prioritise the EPL cos we could get both next seasonAbsolutely. Winning instills confidence. Winning in the Cup won't exclude wins in the league.

I guess I'm just saying we have both now so may as well take advantage of the position we're in.
Not worth turning it into an argument though as different people have different priorities and that's fine.
