The new manager is irrelevant as those twats won't sign anyone good, they're just gonna take the cash and run and we'll implode but at least they'll be gone so happy days!

I dont know who has managed to swing this, but as supporters I think we can all be excited about the possibilities.. He's someone who plays attacking football, apparently, but cant have been successful by not being defensively solid and was a defender himself. We've been managed by dinosaurs in the main for long enough and for me what was needed was for someone to come into the club and for the players to feel excited about working with new ideas. As HFFP said his players go to war for him and thats exactly what will be needed now. Who knows, he might just a Pochettino and if he has any clout with 'the chosen one', something that we don't seem to have managed with our previous managers connections with Man Utd together with his Pro Eleven contacts, Premiership or not i'll be happy to give him the time to make my team one I cant wait to see play again.

Cheers HFFP. Any Portugese players he may go for?

Really don't think so. The better ones won't change from Sporting, Benfica, Porto etc to City. He brought a few gems that played in Portugal like Sebá and Pardo to Olympiakos but they wouldn't get permission from the FA.

I was hoping for the next CR.

Who are his backroom team? Anyone we might know?

Well he's going to have to pull some players out of the hat from somewhere. As it stands we haven't got a prayer with what's currently in the building.

My concern is he'll try and mess with the formation and there really isn't enough games left to do that. He needs to use the current formation and introduce some better quality in key areas. RB, CF maybe attacking midfield. He needs to remove Marshall and look at the defence, individually ok, but as a unit they've been far too sloppy.

silva will be our first non british manager since molby 14 years ago! and only our second ever i believe

Do you think he may of watched us a few times?

If it is Marco Silva then that is a belting appointment, When I first heard the news last night I was originally furious but the more I thought about it the more I realised it was the correct decision. Now don't get me wrong I want the Allams out but I am willing to give them the benefit of the doubt as if they are bringing Silva in then they also have to be willing to spend money in the transfer window as he wouldn't come if there wasn't money to be spent. And lets face it when you compare the managerial stats of Marco Silva and Mike Phelan, I defiantly know which one I would rather let spend the clubs money! And to anyone who says 'no thanks I would rather have Gary Rowett' please take yourself to the nearest padded cell and lock yourself in it! Gary Rowett maybe one day will be a premier league manager but lets face it the guys biggest achievement is taking a Birmingham team to near the play offs! Hardly an amazing feat is it, whereas Silva has been successful everywhere he has been, including managing in the champions league. He will also clearly have more chance of attracting the level of player we require. Again if it is Silva and the Allams give him money to spend then for once they have got it right!
Did he go to school with Christiano Ronaldo by any chance ?
