Had it in my head that Pied was on a 1 year deal, but checked and it is 2 years....so he has to prove himself next season. Very tough on him that he missed out most of this season.
I thought he had the **** kicked out of him a bit. That moment his head flicked back after colliding with Barry's considerably sized arse, looked bad.
Mane missing a number of games due to the African Cup of Nations...possibly ours on the 11th (as Senegal's games start on the 15th January). Knowing our luck he will get a dispensation to join up later with the squad.
Hope he's missing, but you just know everyone will be there for this game. And Pool will be so far off Chelsea, the League cup will become their whole season. Just saying.
No, thats discretionary apparently. A point carefully ignored by outraged leicester fans after a rather silly appeal.
I didn't think Vardy's tackle was that bad. Okay, two feet off the ground so he can't have too many complaints, but still worth an appeal as it was neither malicious nor late and he clearly went for the ball not the man.
Snodgrass turns down a new contract at Hull. What a wonderful British name that is. * *Just looked it up....all heil the internet. Snodgrass is a Northern Middle English name for people from Snodgrasse in Ayrshire.
Saw a piece of video where the Stoke player was sent off last week. Looked reddish to me. Myself, I thought Vardy's was borderline. If any Arsenal defender makes that tackle they miraculously stay on the pitch! [I saw a tweeted two footed dive-in from last week]. Sissoko's spike was nasty - red. The Burnley player made fairly little of it, although every player makes something of it these days. Some could win Oscars, some could only apply for the vacant prompter's job at RAODS. Even our own McQueen, when whacked by an Inter defender, went down on his knees after a couple of seconds of considering it.
I saw that even Dyche was starting to get a bit disheartened about the bad decisions too. I can see his point, he expects his players to be honest rather than rolling on the floor but the Sissoko runs up the other end and assists the goal. A point could have meant a lot to them. I wasn't convinced by Vardy's red, admittedly I only saw it once in real time and once slowed down but it looked like he was tugged slightly by a Stoke player and lost control through that. You could say it's 2 footed but then Barkley showed you can almost as easily break someone's ankle recklessly one footed so where's the line?
Burnley have suffered the most this season. Refs are just not under any pressure to give them the big calls, and it really shows. Hang on......didn't they get a pen against us!
I wasn't sure about Sissoko's red - thought he made an instinctive move then was trying to pull it back.
Looked like he was trying to pull out of it, which is presumably how the ref saw it too. But it was certainly reckless, he could easily have got a red for that.
