as I mentioned 2 days ago, Aquilani's proposed move on loan to Fiorentina is off. He has refused a loan deal as he would prefer a permanent contract.

Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish refuses to write-off unsettled midfielder Alberto Aquilani.

The Italian was outstanding in their 3-3 draw on Monday at Valerenga.

“Alberto is a very good footballer full stop, irrespective of where he is playing,” Dalglish said.

“If he's here for the start of the season that wouldn't be a problem.”

Here is my problem with this quote, we have all seen how good he has been yes? So that end should be, " I WANT him here for the start of the season" The way Kenny worded that still rings of he will be off....... not good, aqua is really important for us, and could be a pivotal player for us this year!

"We have been delighted with him in pre-season and we are delighted to have him as part of the squad."
Credit to jkielq91 for posting this on The LFC today thread. If he also said this, maybe Aquilani will see that he has a home here... Would love for him to stay, as he has been our best in preseason so far. Also, he may not have stuck his neck out by saying that because if Alberto does leave, he'll look a weak manager, not only to the public, but to his players. You never know the reasons...

I caught your post quickly just to click the link and see a video of Scarface <laugh>.

Haha, have a little Scarface, carlito's way going on the rep thread with Sky and forget I hadn't changed my cut and paste, whoops. I think scarface could add that extra bit of pizzaz, flash, steel, and if all else fails blow the **** out of anyone he sees! He also owns a tiger.

From sky's favorite website soccernet.com

Liverpool midfielder Christian Poulsen has dismissed speculation that he is set to leave Anfield. "I am a Liverpool player for the coming season," he said.

F***!!!!!!

Can we not do something useful like send Poulsen to London, and he may get badly injured in the riots...problem solved, then we can release him and don't have to pay his wages.

anyone think there's any truth in the current rumours of Dann for 8mil of brum and enrique for 5.5mil off of newcastle?

for me if this were to happen our spending would certinaly be far more than i thought we'd do and very sensible in each case.

A CF to cover carroll/suarez would then be what we'd concentrate on in the following windows.

Plenty of rumours round today, all seem quite good in my eyes so if one came off would be good

Ngog to Bolton
Meirelles to Chelsea
Poulssen + 10 mill for Shawcross
Joe Cole to Arsenal
Degen to QPR

If we could get all done with a bit of manouervering
Do part ex of Meirelles for Sturridge with a bit of money going our way,add this to a fee for Cole and Ngog should be able to get about £10 mill
So for no money we would be rid off Cole,Poulssen,Ngog,Degen, and Meirelles ( ok good player but we have too many midfielders and may mean we can keep Aquaman) and in their place we get a good backup striker and a much needed reinforcement at centrehalf
Other positive should be major reduction in wage bill
I would be well chuffed if this all went through and that should then conclude our dealings for the summer
