Apparently we're after Hugo Rodallega, I'd be very glad if we got him - he's a lot better than Ngog and I reckon with some decent build up play he'll do really well for us.
Villyan Bijev has signed for us recently, 18 year old American striker who has impressed on trial. Apparently he just can't stop scoring, so it's good news.
Instead of Rodallega what about Guererro from Peru? looked very good this tournament and has played for some big name teams ie Bayern in the past.
They have offered £3.4 million,Kenny wants £6 million,I reckon they will come to a compromise and settle on £5 million.Which will mean a £3.5 million profit. Not bad business.
Its been reported in the last hour Aqua is on lhis way to Fiorentina. http://translate.google.com/transla...io/2011/07/25/550745-aquilani_ufficiale.shtml http://translate.google.com/transla...25FILSPO00237-aquilani-vers-la-fiorentina.php I thought he was staying?
He would be, yeah. Trouble is, for him to be at his best, he'd need to want to be here and put the effort in. It's becoming increasingly obvious that he wants back to Italy.
I hope it isn't true, I really think he can be something for us. I would be worried if we sold both him and Meireles. The technical ability is what worries me, the ability to really pick out a pass. Adam can do that but its more the long pass he can do. Henderson has creativity, good long and short passes but again, has he got the vision to see who can link up with who and how the pass can affect the build up? Gerrard is an attacking player and I don't want to see him locked in any position this season, for me he has to have the freedom to move forward and that would rule him out of this role. Lucas is a defensive midfielder so it rules him out. I think Aquilani would get the best out of Suarez. Its something English players don't have, the ability to utilise the technical ability of the players around them.
I agree, however I think the owners/Kenny are more concerned with the wage bill than getting a transfer fee in. Nobody is keen on buying him permanently it seems, so a loan is perhaps best in the situation. He can always be sold for a fee next summer (as part of the agreement). Him going, even on loan, frees up 80k of wages that could be used on a player in a position we need rather than another midfielder.
I'll lose a lot of faith if either of Aquilani or Meireles are sold, unless they're demanding to leave.
I wouldn't loan him out. Its a gamble because Florentia could do what Juventus did and offer ridiculously low, forcing us to keep hold of him. If we keep him it can only be a bonus and I'm sure if anything his transfer value would increase. I also agree that the loss of Aquilani and Meireles would somewhat cause concern.
As was said earlier,Hes made it plain he does'nt want to stay(albiet mostly through his agent),If he is going he needs to make it soon because a few of the lads on our board have him in their fantasy league squad. Seriously,if he still wants to go even though hes played pre-season for us i'd wish him ariva derci.
