So, all it needs is a bit of money?

yep - life has changed in the last 10 years - its all about the money now - - why do you think Brucie left - not enough money for him to spunk - --- do you think we'd be in the Premier League without Allam's money - I don't - do you think Bournemouth would be in the PL without Maxim Demin's money, I don't - where do you think Man City would be without Mansour's money and Chelsea without Abramovichs money - both Man City and Chelsea have had multiple managers but they've all had relative success- without the money you can't get anywhere - football is all about the money - of course a manager has an input but nothing compared to the money - just compare Brucies and Phelan's record - almost identical in points, almost identical in league positions from two years ago and yet one manager is supposed to be the best manager we've ever had yet the other is supposed to be a manc **** - I can't tell the difference - do you really think if Brucie was here we'd be half way up the league - I don't - the only chance we have of going up the league is spending a shed load of money

Any figures for the comparative amounts of money spent by the PL clubs in 2006? Did the 10 clubs below Wigan all spend less than them?

Why did Phelan drop Hudd for the last 4 games? Easy question. Cant use the B word though.

he didn't - get your facts right

Palace - Hudd played - we drew
Boro = came on after 62 mins
Newcastle - Hudd played - we won
West Brom - no Hudd - we drew
Sunderland - no Hudd - we lost
Southampton - no Hudd - we won

bearing in mind the Southampton result it seems reasonable to stick with the same players - Hudds had his fair share - he was lost earlier this season but has come back well - he gave a number of free kicks away on the edge of our box including the pen against Leicester

While I give Phelan some credit for finally playing something like our best side available in the correct formation, I still think he made mistakes in the game. At 3-2 up it was clear we were tiring. Why didn't he make any substitutions? It would have given us some fresh legs and wasted time. Clucas should have brought his man down for their 3rd but didn't because he was on a card. Meyler would have taken him out. A good manager would have helped his side close out the game. Phelan didn't.

Assuming that Phelan chose the signings and using that as a basis for your entire argument is incredibly weak, since all the evidence suggests the opposite.

You don't understand what drop means then? As in not in the starting eleven. Duh.

Nope. I doubt Ehab had ever heard of weir or Keane for that matter.

Ternent's scouting notes will have been passed to SB, he never signed some players, hence he walked, maybe it was these 2, maybe others. Ehab got the notes passed to him & thought<party>, not necessarily great notes though, as we've found out to our cost.

He started against Newcastle - so he wasn't dropped for the previous 4 games - you seem to have a problem with facts and logic - I appreciate you keep getting things wrong and I am trying to be patient because you maybe a bit thick but you might want to pm me first before you post something so I can correct it for you so you don't come across as a bit of a twat - seasons greetings

<laugh> League games dumb ****. Wasn't it obvious?

Now be a good boy and go dig up some obscure "facts" about Brucey

Awww charon, you deleted my quote from your post. Something about always conceding goals when Meyler comes on. We needed fresh legs and a battler, he was the best choice from our bench to bring on. Clucas's inability to get a foot in played a part in the 2nd and 3rd goal for Palace. Would Meyler have done the same? I doubt it.
