So he's going to sign a five and a half year deal and return to them on loan until the end of the season?

Why the **** are we subsidising his wages so that Palace get him for the rest of the season and pay **** all for the benefit? It's costing as much as £15 million to bring him here, and £35,000 a week once he's here. That's not small change.

As the half a year on his contract suggests, he'll be on his United wages as soon as he signs. If Palace want him until the end of the season then the ****s should pay his wages until the end of the season. They got some ****ing gall. If we buy him and pay his wages, then we've every right to have him available for selection.

Can't say I'm too excited over this transfer anyway. Ridiculously overrated and thinks he's already made it. £7 million of the fee comes from being English, and his sole international appearance in which he stunk the pitch out, however briefly he was on it. Never mind about being Palaces best player, he hasn't even even their best winger for the past 3 or 4 months!

I agree with you, but I guess the reason is SAF wants his signature sewn up. Waiting until summer is a lot cheaper, but it opens up the possibility of other clubs signing him instead.

He looks like we could make something of him, fast, powerful, pretty good at the Ronaldo chop and seems to have an end product, also looks like he knows when to pass. An added bonus is he does`nt stand stooped over with his arms out as if he has sh*t himself ala Young.

I can't say i'm even remotely excited, though i am always happy to see an English player signed if they have the potential to make the grade.

tbh he is not the best passers around but will be better playing in UTD surrounded by all those good players

Not saying his passing is good yet, just that he knows when to release the ball instead of running into three or four defenders like Nani at the moment.

looking forward to seeing him who cares if hes not a CR who is?? center mid we have that in cleverley he has been great who knows how good he can become

Cleverley is by far our most improved player this season and looks like he could be the midfielder we have missed for a few years.

Scouse @TonyEvansTimes on @talkSPORT sounds like he's hoping Zaha will be as **** a signing as Henderson or Downing. Sad. #MUFC

<laugh>, not a chance of that happening.

ironic that it's 18 years ago today since Eric Cantona kicked that fan at Selhurst Park and we're signing a player from them.

WILFRIED ZAHA has been tipped to become a huge hit for Manchester United.

Crystal Palace winger Zaha, 20, is expected to have a medical at Old Trafford today ahead of his £15m move.

United will loan him back immediately to the London side for the rest of the season, but former Palace boss Dougie Freedman thinks Zaha will soon make an impression on Sir Alex Ferguson’s first team.

The Bolton manager saw Zaha come through the ranks during his time as a player at Palace and was assistant boss when the forward made his debut for the Eagles in 2010.

The Scot then nurtured the in-demand winger during his time as Palace chief and believes he has the right “arrogance” to succeed at United.

He said: “If it is Man United and he is getting a medical, then he fully deserves it.

“It is the biggest club in the world and I believe he could go into that team and surprise a few.

“He won’t be fazed by it. I would not say he is cocky off the fi eld but on the field he has a certain arrogance that you have to have.

“He expresses his talent in any surroundings and Man United will be no different.”

Freedman also reckons Zaha deserves his big move after working hard to break through at Palace.

He added: “Wilfried is a fantastic young man who deserves everything he gets.

“He has worked very hard and dedicated himself to the game.”
