    Matth will be excited.

What's your thoughts on this ??

Personally I'm not too bothered either way. Hopefully he will be good in the future but I can't see him featuring as a regular for a while, or does this mean the end for Nani ??

I hope this signing isn't at the expense of a central midfielder either now or in the summer.

    Th(o)ughts ?

    I know <laugh>

I was going to go for an Alan Partridge type title to the thread but then I remembered the 'name only' rule (rule 86 on the United forum member rule book) <ok>

I can see this is a prelude to moving Nani on in the summer and hopefully using those funds to go for Fellaini / Strootman / Eriksen.

Reckon Zaha should be good to move into the first team next year, covering for Welbeck, Valencia and Young in wide areas.

Now where did I put those tissues?

Will Welbeck be there next year? Anyway, interested to see how Zaha is, a lot of talk and tbf he has gone to one of the right clubs to further himself. Hope he isn't too good of course.

I think we should sell Young, Nani and Valencia and play Bebe and Giggs on our wings for the next 10 years.

I'd be very suprised if we signed a CM of the calibre you listed Swarbs, SAF just seems determined to not sign a central midfielder.

    Who exactly is Zaha?

Is he going to turn out good or like Young as my concern is we already have Young and 2 players doing their best to impersonate Young this season ( Nani and Valencia ).

Also think this chap is coming not to replace anyone but to bolster out wings. Sure we have a few in the first team but as far as I can tell we have no wingers of any note in the ranks and with our first teamers being **** this season Fergies obviously worried about his wingers.

Funny how hes never worried about other positions though.

Having seen Zaha play this season (during the hype period) he was nothing other than ordernary! I actually thought his team mate Bolasie was 10x better than him!

Should of gone for our Sone Aluko if you want real talent!

he is not young.. he is striker/winger with very good pace and dribbling ability ... every time i see him, he is killing the defenders with his runs and dribbling .. he give us hard time last time we played them .. and again he is a kid so he will add more to his game eventually

Young was a striker at Watford. 15 goals in their promotion season.

Seems a similar sort of player.

he is faster and better dribbler than young and will only be better .. he is better physically than young who is pushed too easily tbh
anyway this clips shows better his quality and style of play , remember those actions at the age of 18-19

Youtube shows nothing. Anyone can be made to look a superstar on it.

I had heard of Zaha in the past but nothing grabbed my attention. Just another fast english winger. they are 10 a penny in the lower leagues as they follow a pretty old school guide on how to play football down the leagues.

Imo he sounds like a carbon copy of Young. I bet if I was to gather articles on Young 8 years ago and compare them with those on Zaha now the wording would be pretty much the same.
