And the noisy 5% of remainers (probably more like 50%) who go on rabidly about Wayne and Waynettas, dark skinned people, little Englanders, racists etc? what message do you think they are conveying, maybe "if your not with us you're a wrong un" or "you are lower class scum who don't deserve a vote"?

Hopefully. I haven't incited anyone to murder an MP though. 'Moderated' comments on there from Out Louts have suggested doing just that to 'traitors' and 'lefties' because we don't agree with Brexit.

Ah so this forum is a hothouse of Brexit terror eh?
If they were moderated how do you know about them?
I really hope you have some proof that Brexit has "incited" someone to kill an MP because that is quite a striking statement to make on an open forum.
 
I'll tell you what though, he's getting a hell of a lot more of the benefit of the doubt than Omar Mateen. I'll give it 24 hours before Julia Hartley Brewer is wheeled out on Sky/Fox News to say that it wasn't an attack on a Brexit MP, but rather the killed of a white woman just like her. In fact, Tommy Mair was probably a secret radicalised Islamist.
 
I dunno what occured but we will find out very shortly.

If the press want to of course. In USA the mad lads social media was gone overvin an instant.

This guy had to be leaving a messy trail. He never gave her half a chance even.

It's not benefit of doubt mate...he killed her in a most brutal way....the reasons will maybe come out for his twisted thinking but that fact remains.

The difference between here and the US is we still cling on...just... to a modicum of class. We don't jump in and say it's this or that...

We won't have people claiming...if only every witness was carrying a knife or gun it might not have happened.

Instead of oh...all politicians should be police protected we are saying how much better our system is that anyone can meet with their MP..no matter what your gripe...

We all said the same on here about Orlando...wait..see what the details actually are before making any proclamations other than how horrendous an act it was.

I'm not a "it's the horror film/game to blame" type of guy but I do think we are seeing the darkest side effect of the Internet age. It allows people to wallow in their hatred not only unchallenged but encouraged....

All of us on here will look far and wide no matter how sure we are in our views but there are people that can sit at home and fester in their own delusions receiving nothing but validation from other like minded people...in real life that doesn't happen without effort and contact...these days it happens on your phone...

I'm talking about the DM, you doughnut (and yes, it tells you whether comments are moderated or not). Almost every article on Brexit, and several not about it like Orlando, attract several cranks with suggestions for 'executing' politicians and Remainers to be executed for treason. Do I really have to trawl through them for an example?]

We cannot be sure whether she was hated for her pro-refugee, pro-human rights or connections with charities like Oxfam. Very are to have an MP with such respect both at local level and international level.

The politics of division, of hatred, of them foreigners and us Brits must stop.

Its impossible to say. she's apparently been on every good cause going so quite a rare thing. someone elected who's actually trying to do good.

when you consider the uk sent nigel farage to europe as our voice compared to this kind of politician... then some absolute tosspot kills her for god only knows what...

All we know is that a horrific crime has been committed, and that someone just trying to live their life has been brutally and senselessly murdered.
We know nothing yet about the motive, so how about we wait for some more evidence before we convene our own kangaroo court?

Agreed. It's a diabolical act on someone who seems to have been an intrinsically good and caring politician. A rare breed indeed. No-one has had anything bud good things to say of her. She will clearly be badly missed. RIP
