I've always said that the repercussions of this will go far deeper than any short-term economic phenomena. A lot of people simply can't see outside of their own small circle of experience.

We are trying to disentangle 40+ years of relationships, some of them forged after a lot of effort. Much more difficult that to put a X on a ballot paper to "kick some ass" or to "stop the uncontrolled movement of migrants". For the guy struggling on a minmum wage or homeless or unemployed, why should he help maintain these relationships?

Boris Johnson is alive - Jo Cox is dead. Pity they don't do homemade shaved-orang-utan guns.

    Liam Fox is out.

Next out will be Crabb. He will probably pull out to speed things up.

    May 165 of 329
    Leadsom 66
    Gove 48
    Crabb 34
    Fox 16

Fox eliminared, Crabb pulled out; both have given their support to May. She looks most likely right now.

Oh may was picked the moment Cameron resigned. Gove backstabbed and frankly.... after that.... well the hierarchy picked may and this is all for show and increasing profile.

Leadsom is just being positioned in minds as a future senior minister or whatever. This thing has nothing to do with democracy. It's all show.

    Gove is toast.

May wouldn't be feeling too smug at the moment. In the last 20 years, the membership - these nice Tory folk - have often selected the opposite to the overwhelming MP favourite. they chose Hague and IDS instead of Ken clarke.

They may choose Leadsom since she appears more right wing.

I would expect Crabb's supporters to go for May. Fox's would go for Leadsom.

But this is really dirty stuff. Leadsom's and Gove's at each other's throats as they know once they are in the final two they've got a good chance. That Tory membership electorate is the most unpredictable of all. All the need to do is persuade their MP colleagues who are also among the most devious people on the planet.

    Leadsom - who?

    Crabb - some Welsh homophobe

    Gove - a Nazi

    Fox - who?

May - the winner by default and a remain campaigner who's already decided she's altered her opinion.

Is it any wonder the UK electorate is completely pissed off with the current party politics?

I've never seen British politics at such a disgracefully low level - across the ****ing board. It's a ****ing midden.

Yep. An absolute quagmire of career monkeys trying to position themselves and forgetting about what they actually believe in at the drop of a ****ing hat.

It's never been as bad in my lifetime, I find it both nauseating and thoroughly embarrassing for the Nation.

My grandad was born in Dumfries, and my grandma in Cork. I've got options. Just worried that my pension will be paid in sterling when you see it plummeting like a fat wood pigeon wearing diving boots.
