I heard a similar rumour but it was a group of youths aged between 14 and 18 who were invited by the club - again puts the argument into doubt. Only time will tell - I agree I think he'll be found not guilty - if he's guilty - he can rot in jail after he's paid the club back!

Maybe mate, do you reckon the club would sue him if he gets put in the slammer?

If he's guilty on all accounts, he's got a good stretch ahead of him followed by a new identity in Nicaragua as a farmer or something I'd imagine!

To be fair to Toon Man Sam... if Newcastle beat you lot, the bragging rights are theirs for sure. 5 in a row means nowt. Just like their 5-1 meant **** all when you went and pasted them at St James Park.

We trashed City last time out, they ain't going around chatting about 6-1 anymore... although they are the Champions... that probably helps!

I reckon it'll be a draw for you lot, the bragging rights will remain with Sunderland in that case.

No one says bragging rights are for life. They're something to grasp onto, especially when times are tough.

Law of averages says they're due a win, and if they do they'll be crowing about 1 in a row! <laugh>

If the town beat us I honestly wont be too bothered due to the fact that it has got to happen sometime. I'm expecting it. Even a derby defeat will only continue the drudgery as far as I'm concerned. It wont be the kick in the teeth that it normally would be, merely a fly in the ointment. Its just the way I am feeling about the club at the moment, disillusion getting gradually worse to the point of boredom.......but yet I still care enough to be on here typing about it, it doesn't make sense, its a form of madness really.

I think it's naive at this point to think Johnson is completely innocent. Nobody lets a case get this far if they can categorically disprove an accusation, I'm more than confident to say he's been involved with her in some capacity, it all just depends on whether she's fluffed the truth up to the point where she can rake in a load of extra cash. This is only my slant on it of course, I actually think he'll get away with it because a good barrister will pick apart any statement/testimony and rip the prosecution to pieces.

I've had first hand experience in being shredded by a barrister and it's the most uncomfortable place to be in, before she knows it, this girl or her representative could be demolished in front of a courtroom and the entire thing will start to look farcical. That's why some solicitors cost £50 per hour and others thousands of pounds.

I won't ever believe this guy is innocent, no matter what happens in that court room, because my judgement tells me he's a top of the range dickhead and the hat just seems to fit, very nicely.

If there had been any evidence that proved beyond any doubt that he slept with her while knowing how old she was, the court case would have already happened.

In any case where a celebrity (well know public figure) has been charged with sleeping with minors / sexual abuse then once the 1st one made the accusations, loads of others come out of the woodwork as well. This hasnt happened with AJ.

I find it hard to believe, that if he was the type of person (scumbag) to knowingly sleep with minors, that in all the time he played for man city he didnt sleep with other under age girls. If he had done, they would have already made their accusations.

Should have probably tagged Bri, I was only disputing his point that the bragging rights are yours until they beat your 5 in a row.

I'd much rather win vs City on Sunday than lose and say we've won the last 5.

That's wrong.

How long did it take Oscar Pistorious to go to trial?

As for the last sentence, that's where the case goes from black and white to grey I guess.

Depressing paragraph mate!

The one beacon of positivity from your last few seasons, aside from a cup run, has been your dominance over your neighbours, surely you can't let that dissolve.

Just the norm from being a Sunderland supporter....expect to lose, hope to draw! Hate the ****ers! haha

lol no not really, but we hadn’t completely mauled our opposition in the game before hand and you didn’t have Big Fat Sam as manager! I am overwhelmingly confident.

The players will know this is a must win! We have kept you up for too many seasons now! without the points against us you would be down in the Championship. Hopefully this is your year!

That's nice for you.

I love a pre-game bragger me.

You should marry a Newcastle supporter, by logic, if you beat them, you can take the piss out of her, and if she wins she'll take pity on you and give you a gobble to make you feel better.

Hey leave Quenny alone, he's a good lad. Stop causing trouble!

What's the deal if you lose then come Monday... you got a job lined up offshore for a a few months whilst the storm blows over?

The fact they still go on about the 5-1 proves beyond doubt the 5 in a row can be taken as long as we like. Same rules apply to both, they can carry it on so can we. They've prolonged their own grief by clutching to the 5-1. You may not see it that way but if you'd been on the other end of their dominance which proceed you'd know one win means nowt. Just like when we won 2-1 in 2008, meant the world to us but the Mags had a come back for everything. Why? Because it was an isolated win for us in a period of Mag dominance. Win for the mags will would mean the world to the Mags and rightly so, but it doesn't come close to bragging rights. For me Bragging right means no viable comeback

I didn't mean it literally meant nothing, obviously it's still going to be discussed, but it didn't really hurt you lot did it after you bummed them in their own garden?

I don't believe you if you say to me you'd rather have that 5 in a row than win the next (implications exempt for the purposes of this discussion).

Of course there's every chance you can have both... we're just talking hypothetically.

I live and work in London, this allows me to be an idiot with no real comeuppance apart from online replies of which hurt my feelings, but not as bad a face to face insults! They are the worst!

What about planes flying past with banners?

There'll be another one sent up if they win the 6th in a row.

Work? That surprises me. I was under the impression that judging by your crummy patter that you will still of school age. That's not an insult by the way but a genuine observation.

That 5-1 gets mentioned because it was a demolition, still being relatively young, that was one of the best games of footall i have ever witnessed! up there with Faustino Asprilla's demolition of Barca when he netted a hat-trick and the 5-1 against manc u where albert chipped schmicheal!

You had a good team and we still tore you apart!
