Well the papers seem to think so in Debuchy, have to say even though this game has only just reached the 30th minute he looks a top player.

Hasn't been tested yet defensively but going forward he looks fantastic, gives the team an extra attacking option and is comfortable on the ball.

If it comes off hats off to you guys

I knew you would be happy to see me checking the site again Albert chip shop!

Glad to see it's being kept good order these days

I dunno lads, Debuchy looks class, but would it be such a great idea to have two such attacking fullbacks?

Could leave us a bit exposed at the back.

But I reckon he'd be a great signing.

I don't think we will sign debuchy like. Would love us to get him but any player who has a semi decent tournament will put millions on their asking prices. Probably exactly what Lille were hoping for because I'm sure if the genuine interest is there then Newcastle would of looked to get the deal sorted before now. It will be Lille holding off until after the euros which unfortunately doesn't suit our transfer model.

If we get Anita and keep hold off Tiote they will be able to cover, anyhow Simpson is too attack minded as well and not as good.

This is why I love our 4-2-1-3 system, because it gives our wingers more freedom and chance to attack and do some damage,

but if we had an attacking fullback + Ben Arfa on a side, that could be pretty much suicide, and we can't rely too much on CDM's to cover wings.

Attack, Attack, Attack... We don't need defenders ;)

We already have an attacking full back on that side, how many times last year did Simpson get caught out of position and it cost us a goal West Brom at home and Arsenal away in the last minute spring to mind.

Mate, don't you get my point?

If we sign Debuchy, our defense will be thus -

Santon----Colo---Saylor/Douglas---Debuchy

If we get Debuchy, we'll need to break the news to him that he has to stay back a bit more than he's used to.

And I think it's a bit unfair on Simpson the way some fans talk about him. He's improved quite a lot, and doesn't get caught out nearly as much as he used to, but did anyone stop to think that it might be due to the fact that the managers we had told him to go forward and aid the attack?

I mean howay, think of the pressure on the lad! He was told to go forward, AND defend, whilst still being young and quite in-experienced, and knowing that if he gets caught out that he could cost the team, AND he's usually had to play with RM who's not the best defensively!

So give Simpson a bit of a break, yeah?!

Tonight the French had to put in many little ****ty challenges to stop our players running forward, because they had little defensive quality outside their back four.

We need to make sure the players in our team know their roles, otherwise we'll have to concede a lot of cards to stop enemy attacks/

As he s young he can be taught to do both.
