Its break time and i am in the cool staff room and the gooner is pissing himself...
All cos of Gareth ****ing Barry ...
I reckon they plan on making bale look even faster by surrounding him with a load of ****ers who can't run!
Only sucking spurs can make me this ****ed off without playing...bastards

Ironically, having been a City player, surely we can't afford his wages. I hope. <steam>

I don't quite understand, is there more than just an article in the paper linking us to him. We were linked with Zigic once too.

This just wouldn't make any sense. It's such a non-Levy signing and he doesn't fit into Villas-Boas' style of midfielders, either.
Baldini would've seen how average he was with England, too.

High wages, no prospect of any future sell-on value, only a year left til he's available for nothing...
Nah. Don't buy it.

LOL just seen this thread.

Gareth Barry. one of the most overrated players I have ever seen since I started following football. How he plays regularly for City, I will never know.

I will be mortified if we sign him, but I can't see it happening somehow.

Gareth Barry. LOL.

Wrong player, wrong time, stupid money (wages)........
If anyone can come up with a single reason why the club would be seriously looking at this Muppet then please write in - answers on a postcard!!

If we're in for Gareth Barry I can only imagine that it's because Roy Rodgers has made an enquiry for him. It's this time of year where we undermine 'Pool transfer targets. We don't necessarily want or need Barry, but it's Levy's way of wumming the Mousers, by pulling the rug from under them and rubbing their noses in the fact that we are now a far bigger club than they are.

Alternatively, this could all be the usual, run-of-the-mill, gutter-press, hack-journo bollocks.

Sandro's position is unclear to me, it looks unlikely he's available for pre-season so the DM talk is concerning.

In that regard, Capoue would be the first pick - his style is a hybrid of Sandro and Dembele, plus Toulouse say he can leave. It'd probably cost at least £12m to bring him in...which is about what we'll get for selling Gomes, Huddlestone and Adebayor.

I wouldnt want a 25 year old Barry in a Spurs shirt, let alone a 32 year old Barry. Rubbish, pointless footballer who is too slow, too old and not what Spurs need. This better be bollocks.

Yes you're right, we've been looking at Capoue for some time now.

I just hope we have the same player that we had before - any hesitation or fearfulness could ruin Sandro's game...

I think he'll be ok with that aspect of injuries, as the way that he picked up this one was so bizarre and had nothing to do with anyone else.
If he'd have picked it up in a challenge or someone had gone in recklessly then I think it might've been an issue.
